Hatchers Richmond Manor

Expected level of hospitality for price was not received, incuding site information and breakfast options.

Lovely place to stay, we stayed in the tower room and had great views, people were friendly and would recommend to anyone lookoing for a place to stay in Richmond. Only 15 mins to the centre of Hobart. Lee & Ange !!!

The Resturant was indicated as 'open' but neither lunch nor dinner was available. Admittidly this was the end of the 'off' season and I believe I was the only person there, but I would have liked some alternative. I booked the hotel because there was a resturant, but this was not available. However, the room was very comfortable and the room faciilties were extremely good.

Parking was a big problem with cars being blocked in when parking near the rooms. There was nowhere to hang or store clothing & had to live out of suitcase. Hooks were missing off curtains & had to use pegs to keep bedroom curtains from gaping. Clean inside, but had to step around chook droppings outside the entrance to the room - that area was not swept or cleaned up during our 3 night stay. Seating in living area was very uncomfortable. Suite was good size and the bathroom was modern and had a spa.

Beautiful country manor in a beautiful area. Loved the farm animals and there was plenty of apricots to pick and eat. Enjoyed the horse and carriage ride. Very friendly staff. Altogether a very enjoyable stay.

My husband and I loved staying at the Manor, everyone was lovely and friendly. The facilites are great, very clean and tidy. The land is beautiful. It's close to Richmond town and easy to find.

Nice place,convinent to nearby places of interest, room is quite clean, i saw them cleaning the room for more than 30 min. , really careful,service is good too, but i consider the price is little bit higher, maybe it's in a historic town, everything is not that budget

The hotel was just delightful. It is furnished in elegant period furniture and with 2 children we had the first apartment which had sleeping upstairs and downstairs. It is situated on an apricot orchard and there were 2 baby goats which the children loved and were allowed to feed with bottles of milk. Also 2 white miniture poodles made themselves at home with us. Would recommend the manor as a great place to stay out of Hobart.

This is one place you will want to go. The people are nice the food is great, the whole place is just a perfect little piece of Tasmania.

Richmond is a lovely spot to stay and the service at Hatchers was excellent. The animals were also very friendly and fun to feed. We were never offered our free bottle of wine.

A very friendly small hotel in a quiet location but really convenient for Hobart and the airport. I find big hotels bland and impersonal - this is neither.

Had a wonderful time and would recommend to all.

Friendly welcome. Encouraged to pick apricots from the orchard on arrival. Homely atmsphere. Kids at B&B loved feeding chickens & horses in the morning. Would go there again.

This accomodation is unique, there are sheeps, chicken and ducks strolling around, and it's surrounded by apple trees. Absolutely a lovely place. It's quite exciting for people who grown up in the metropolitan cities.

We stayed in the rather small atic room. It was nice and cosy. The hosts were very friendly. A reasonable sized cooked breakfast was provided in a communal dining room.

Beautiful room with wonderful surroundings and great breakfast. Very friendly owners and the chooks and ducks where a treat to have walking around the grounds.

A lovely homely comfortable place to stay in the country. Probably needed two nights to really relax. Great service and fantastic cooked breakfast - a real treat. Can recommend.
