The Haymarket Hotel is a very friendly, well run hotel. The proprietor makes you feel welcome, greeting you personally on arrival, helping serve breakfast, running a nice relaxed bar in the evening - i.e. involved in every aspect resulting in a well-run hotel. Very nice full breakfast served in a lovely old-style room. This is a very comfortable hotel and it is easy to walk into the town or the various art galleries. Highly recommended.
The room (#9) was made too small by having two single beds in it. Would have been fine without.

A lot smaller than anticipated. Check out at 10.30 was a bit early but on the whole a nice wee hotel.
Clean hotel with characteristic Scottish decor. Good location, walk into main area of town or use transport at end of the street. Great for tourists wanting a comfortable and convenient place to stay.
Stayed one night only so that my wife and I could go to the theatre. Hotel was central and ideal for the purpose.

Stayed here while on a business trip, to be honest wasnt expecting too much but i was wrong, the staff were very friendly and helpfull. i would stay here again if i visit Edinburgh again.

15 mins from Princess Street. Near to bus stop. Good room. Breakfast fine. Looks a little down from the outside, but so do most Edinburgh buildings. Very useable.
