More like a motel than a hotel but good location for visiting the glaciers.
This motel was designed and built a long time ago, is made of weatherboard and lacks modern features. One wing appears dedicated to tour groups while the other wing is allocated to individual travellers but has a noisey bar & bistro next door and inadequate guest parking.

The rooms could do with a paint and in the 2 rooms we had the mirrors were old and peeling on the back. For the price of the rooms they could at least replace the mirrors. The people/service however was excellent
Fox Glacier. Scenic Heartland. Quite a disappointment. Pleasant staff but very dated rooms, uncomfortable bed, no room sound proofing. Some half views. Restaurant had agreeable Alpine atmosphere. Breakfast service quite reasonable.
Basic accommodation. Meals poor. Generally overpriced.
There are few 4 and 5 star hotels in Fox Glacier and the Scenic Circle is neat, clean and quiet, even though it's on the main SH1 highway. The staff are professional and friendly. The main drawcard of the hotel is the glacial views from our room. A perfect stay for a couple of nights while exploring the magnificant country-side.
Restaurant facilities very limited - forced to eat elsewhere as hotel unable to accommodate us for dinner

An OK place, but nothing to write home about.
Staff were exceptionally friendly and breakfast was lovely in the restarant. Room was a bit small and bathroom door didn't slide to fit appropriately but for one night, was fine.
The staff vere very friendly at reception and in the restaurant. Rooms were small but very clean and warm. Great views out the windows.
