"I didnt really like the service they gave me, and they didnt speak very good english, some staff barely any... the location is quite off a bit from everything, considering Kyoto is "the walking city" but the subway is only a few minutes away, the hotel is down an alley which makes it hard to find (look for the street with vending machines in front, this is how we found it every night)... there are no good restaurants nearby, you have to travel... These factors make the price not the best... They do provide free bike rental(which you need because its so far from anything) and free internet on level 2 which was nice. Btw, If anyone finds a hotel in Japan that isnt superclean, they are soo unlucky!" - Aden Petersen
"The hotel is very near the subway station. You just have to know where you are standing/facing (north, south, east, west). The hotel is behind the Nichocon bldg. (hope I got the name right) and is on the street to your left when you see Lawson on the right across the street." - Anonymous
"Location was good as I was on foot and also accessable for transport. The reception staff did try and help with my questions with directions although some of the staff did have limited english. The room was clean and tidy although small - its seems to be standard though for the price although it was a little bigger than another hotel I stayed at in Tokyo. Would be an idea to a tour service availabe to assist with local sites and attractions " - Anonymous
"It's easy to miss hotel when leaving subway. Website should have better instructions on how to get to hotel from subway system. Room was a little cramped but acceptable since you're not going to spend a lot of time in your hotel room in Kyoto. Amenities and facilities commensurate with cost for hotel." - Donald Wong
