The hotel has the combination of low cost and acceptable comfortability. Before I went to Osaka, i think living near shinsaibashi is a good location. However, after the trip, i found that living near namba is much better. It is becuase the transportation from airport ends at namba. It is a dilemma between taking train for 1 station from namba to shinsaibashi which cost ~200 yen(and taking the luggages up and down the stairs) and pulling the luggages for 1 station on foot. (And we've finally taken the latter one. In addition, if i need to go to a place which JR can reach, such as USJ, it is more economical to depart from JR station namba.. Otherwise, i need to take a train from shinsaibashi to namba and change to JR line.
This is my second stay at this hotel and the staff is as helpful as polite as last year. I love it for the close proximity to food places, Mall and subways. Minor dispoointment was caused by a bunch of rude americans who smoke on the non smoking floors and talked very loudly in the hallway. I will still recommend this hotel to anyone.
I stayed in the hotel after new year. The hotel is right next to Nishisubashi. we stayed in triple room, the room is very small compare to the one we stayed in Tokyo and there were alot of noises from the two rooms next doors. it is close to subway but is very far to JR rail. that is not so convienece for visitor that have JR pass. overall, the hotel is good. you can find alot of foods and shops in Nishisubashi.
Absolutely love it! Everyday after our day trip, we return to a neat, clean and tidy room. Toothbrushes and towels are being changed everyday after usage! The hotel is located on a corner just opposite the AMPM convenient store. It's a bit tucked in from the other hotels on the busy shopping streets, but why the hell do you want to stay in a noisy area anyway! Plus, when the restaurants at Shinsaibashi are closed, the ones near Hearton Hotel Minamisenba are still open! The hotel's front entrance only shows a red, almost WESTPAC bank's like symbol and has black Japanese text. If coming here from Kansai Airport, take the train to TENGACHAYA station. Then change to NAGAHORIBASHI station and take exit 5-A. If you get lost, just ask the station guards. Check out is at 12pm, but if your flight leaves later during the day just tell reception to mind your luggages for you. Overall, Recommended!
value budget hotel in shinsaibashi area :)
Great value (had 40% off special) Simple but clean. Fantastic Location. But they did put us in a smoking room. (we requested non smoking) Hotel is very standard, but very good value
Stayed in a double room for 4 nights. The "make room" service each day was perfect. Hotel locality may be a bit hard to find on day of arrival but found it okay on the second day onwards. All the popular shopping spots are within walking distance. The hotel rate per day which I paid for was very satisfactory.
simple but comfortable, no, complaints. staff spoke english well.
For the price at Location an size of the room it OK
The room I booked is very spacious. Upon arriving in Shinsaibashi station, you have to look for exit 1,2 and 3, then look for exit North 5. Exit North 5 is the nearest exit to the Hotel. Walking distance from the train station is about 5 to 10 mins. All the hotel staff are very very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very near to Shinsaibashi shopping street, however, most shops close around 8.30pm. Overall, I am very happy staying in this hotel and my whole trip to Osaka.
Great stay, friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are a bit small but it didnt worry us. They were also extremely clean. Great area if you want shopping and eating out. Underground station 2 minutes walk from the hotel.
Hearton Hotel Minamisenba Osaka was very clean but smelled of smoke. The location was ok not to far from the subway. The Staff were friendly but with little English. It was a OK price but the rooms are small....(like the rooms on a cruise ship). Would stay again but in a double.
Very big room compared to other hotels we have stayed in Japan. The hotel staff did not know too much about tourist activities. The subway in Osaka, is very confusing to get around although ariving at Shin Osaka and finding our way to Shinsaibashi was very easy. If I was to stay again in Osaka I would stay at Umeda or Namba for convienience.
The size of the double bed is really too narrow.
I would booked this hotel again, very clean, no smoking smell for the room we stayed in. A little cramp but it is expected for the price we payed. Closed to Subway and shopping. Service people does speak adiquate english and was very helpfull.
The air-con control were very difficult to use. The flow of air would stop suddenly and there was no air-con at all. Even though it was cold outside, we still want to feel cool without opening the window. But the air-con pumped out only warm air making the room feel musty and warm.
Location was quite good - close to Shinsaibashi station, though have to walk two blocks to get to, a bit tricky if you have a lot of luggage. It is more for for business men who don't mind somewhere cheap and simple to stay in. AIr conditioning worked only on and off (mostly off) while we were there for 5 days. Staff couldnt do anything about it and didn't offer to change rooms. Only offered us a fan and opened our window which faced the street, so it was quite noisy on weekends. Security is lax, given that you had to give your room key to the reception, they hand it over to anyone who knows your room no. without checking ID. We tried it because we had our friends ask for our room key and they just gave it over without any hesitation. Seriously not recommended.
A good hotel to stay in if you are keen to go shopping and enjoy Osaka. A little tricky to find as not much signage out front at street level, so did some trekking around the block with our luggage at first! Great free internet facilities and friendly English speaking staff at reception.
location is very good close to osaka subways and shopping district (shinshaibashi suji) price are reasonable.
Staff can speak some english. Located very near train station which is handy. Rooms were clean though the double bed is smaller than others that we have been to recently. Really too small for two people. If there are two of you, get a twin room. Air-conditioning in room does not work properly and is off most of the time. Staff could not do anything about it but offer us a fan and open the window for some natural ventilation.
