Helka Hotel Helsinki

Helka Hotel was conveniently located...the staff were able to give me directions to where I needed to go to. The room was small but clean and had everything I needed....including a hair dryer, TV with internet capabilities.

A lovely stay, great breakfast. Staff very friendly and although room was a bit small, it was very clean and still comfortable.

Excellent location.Very good and huge breakfast included into the price.price very reasonable. Minuses: rooms somewhat small.Internet (WLAN) not working during our stay.

nice basic hotell that has a good loacation close to the train station (7-8min walking) and bus station, it is close to the national museum etc, shopping centers forum and kampi(?), bars (club tiger) etc.

Great hotel! Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Helsinki. Central location, individually decorated rooms, superb service, nice restaurant with excellent food (breakfast and dinner). Anna from Australia.

A perfect place to stay in Helsinki. We stayed for 3 night during January 2009 and found the hotel to be excellent. Large room well appointed although could benefit from a laptop safe and tea making facilities in the room. Bathroom large and clean. The recent renovation adds quirky design with ceiling mounted photo-murals of the Finnish countryside, Alvar Aalto furniture and objects by younger Finnish designers. The breakfast is pretty standard fare but okay. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant one night and found it to be pretty good but not outstanding. All in all, I would stay here again. Good value.

A very good hotel for a short stay in beautiful Helsinki. It's location and pricing are excellent. Our room was not spacious but in very good and clean condition. There is a very good restaurant too. We would happily stay there again.

I love Helsinki! I love this hotel! Full of character, excellent facilities and most wonderful staff. The Helka is exactly what we were after. Cannot say enough positives. Will stay here again.

Great hotel in a great location , only 5 - 10 minute walk to centre of helsinki , with all the facilities - free wifi internet in the rooms or free internet in the lobby , room service and good sized rooms with a modern feel

Triple room was a little cramped, but this is not very surprising in Scandinavia! Breakfast was quite good and the staff were helpful.

Room was small and furnishings basic. Location was quite good, close to shps and transport but 30 min walk to harbourside and most tourist activities. Some staff could have been more helpful. Free internet available. Late checkout was possible.

Excellent choice of hotel. Close to centre, modern with clean rooms and great breakfast.
