Heritage Cairns Motel

The manager was extremely kind and helpful, and twice offered to drive us to town in bad weather, which made our rained-out stay more memorable. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes' walk from town activities, which is not a problem if the weather is pleasant. One major plus is that this hotel offers 2 hours of free computer access.

Rosemary mans the front desk and is very enthusiastic and warm. She helped us make reservations for different activities we wanted to do. She was always ready with a smile and curious as to what we thought of the excursions. She is a true gem.

It is just a short walk to the esplanade from here and is a nice quiet location. The manager Rosemary was over and above any hotel mgmt I've ever encountered. She even gave us a ride up to the Botanical Gardens (easy bus ride back). We had them do some bookings for us and that's a weight taken off your back that you don't need on holiday.

Lovely hotel, reception staff are so helpful, its the little touches that help make your stay so enjoyable. Has everything you need. Highly recommend

This place is great, I was dropped off by the greyhound bus and decided to walk the 15mins from the bus stop to the motel, it was a lovely walk as it was along the seafront. The room itslef contained a fridge, tv, kettle. tea and coffee, clean bathroom etc... the bed itself was comfy, as long as you didnt sit on the very edge of the bed at the bottom of the bed, air con units were provided which came in handy as it was often humid of an evening, a bit of a walk from anywhere decent to eat at a modest price, but i enjoyed the walk. I was able to book tours for the next day at ease and was able to book an airport shuttle for $10. very friendly staff, loved this place! would stay here again in a heart beat

This hotel is quite adequate for most travellers, although not right along the esplenade, it is a short walk and is quiet because it is away from the busy streets. The owners were very friendly and willing to help. The free internet, although slow, was a nice added bonus. Our room was a standard room with a single king sized bed.

An excellent venue-the suite was spacious, light and airy. Kingsize bed was well up to standard. staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommended to enjoy a short or long stay in Cairns.

We stayed for 8 nights, probably a little too long in such a small room and with no room balcony/view or decent pool and other facilities, value for money though was excellent. Location was good and managers were helpful.

Stayed for seven nights mid June. Cairns Heritage is excellent value for money, I cannot recommend them highly enough. The location is very good, only a short walk to the shopping centres, boardwalk esplanade, etc. The room was extremely clean and comfortable, with added touches such as microwave and free chilled water. The facilities were also excellent - free internet, pool, spa & barbecue. The staff were efficient, friendly and extremely helpful - from providing directions, recommending local attractions and restaurants, to booking excursions and the return airport shuttle. We where always given good advice. Anne and Collen could not have been more helpful. The room we had was excellant . Could not have been a better location from the city. Not a five star hotel but the service was personal and nothing was too much.

Good location, central to Esplanade, wharf and shopping. Room was clean and comfortable and was serviced daily. Staff at front desk very helpful. Would definitely stay again.

great quiet place to stay. the accommodation was very roomy with a large bedroom and separate lounge/kitchen area. owners were helpful and provided us with an extra bed at no extra cost when our son came to stay one night during our visit. Some people might find distance from the centre a problem. I enjoyed the walk.

A brilliant family hotel, with good service which ensured we got the very best out of our stay in Cairns. We got a freee upgrade as we checked in early and our room wasn't available, so we got to enjoy a very comfortable suite. A brilliant location for walking to places, but also the staff will ensure you are collected from the Holtel for any excursions you wish to take.

Clean central and with everything you need to have a quiet comfy stay. Near the city and centrally located off the main road yet 5 mins to Cairns City Centre for Brekky! These prices are cheaper than Asia!

We needed a room for 5 adult direct family members, the Heritage Hotel offered two interconnecting rooms for a reasonable price, this room suited us very well as we were able to stay together and not be separated from each other. Because it was two separate units connected by a door it also gave us two bathrooms as well.

Best location in Cairns, minutes walk away from almost everything you could want to do in Cairns. Rooms are ideal for resting after hard day of activity. Basic facilities, but what more do you need for your stay in a place like Cairns.

This is a nice quiet motel that is about 5 minutes walk to the Esplanade and about 15 minutes walk to the main eatery. The owner, Stuart has been most accomodating to our two families of tatal 4 adults and 3 childs. We were meant to stay a night and in the end stayed for 4 nights. Stuart can help to arrange for tours such as Skyrail, Outer Reef Adventures, etc, that is most conveneint for us. We will certainly come back to stay again. Thanks to Stuart for his hospitality.
