Great Location, very close to the thermal pools. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the Garden rooms had great views to wake up to.
Excellent hotel and very handy for the hot pools. Views from garden room were fantastic and room was well appointed. Very quiet and would highly recommend.

The staff were excellent at this hotel, and very accomodating. We had a few issues in the room, however they did their best to correct everything, and ensure we were happy.
Hotel room was clean. Nothing fancy. Actually room and bathroom were probably slightly dated. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Complimentary towels are provided to use at the thermal pools which saves you $5/towel if you had to hire them at the pools. There is a FANTASTIC Indian/Asian restaurant "Malibar's" just around the corner from the hotel and I HIGHLY reccommend going there. Most AMAZING food!!
Exceptional service from lobby staff, good large warm rooms, nice and clean. The second time we've been here and we would like to stay here again. Ambience in the Lounge and dining room is first class, but we found the dining room service and some of the food varied from very good to poor, and prices a little high. However, there are other good eating establishments in Hanmer Springs. Overall, a great place to stay.
Lovely clean room, with lovely view. Close to all restaurants, hot pools etc. Very happy with stay.
The service and location was excellent. Our villa over looking the small lake was in a very nice area of the hotel. Would recommend this hotel.
The garden rooms seem much nicer than the standard rooms which look straight into the carpark and the road. Would be worth paying the extra for the experience as you might as well stay in a motel for the standard room experience
Great older style hotel in a great spot. Has a grand set-up, with very good facilities. Room was a little tight for four people (2 adults and 2 kids), but it did the job for one night.
Staff very happy to meet needs and very friendly. No lift so first floor rooms could be difficult for elderley. Very homely and relaxing lounge bar for happy hour drinks by superb open fire.
very good location in centre of Hanmer township. -Buffet breakfast - free newspaper - happy hour 5pm-7pm $5 beer and wine. Garden rooms are outside units, inside rooms are better and slightly cheaper. wouldnt recommend dinner as very fine dinning and there are alot of good places within walking distance anyway. very close to hotpools easier to walk then drive, lots of parking. beauty treatments and spa pool / swimming pool.
Spent a comfortable night here and it is located very well right in town. Paid top price for the superior room and this was very expensive compared for a similar room in a city hotel. The room was actually very small. Had to carry our luggage upstairs as no lift. Dead flies on the window sill. Would choose somewhere else offering better value if we stay in Hamner Springs again.
The hotel itself is lovely and in a great position. However I was disappointed in the restaurant, which had a very limited menu and nothing vegetarian at all. Even the potatos had bacon round them. Stay at the hotel and eat elsewhere.
Single superior rooms very small and no where to put your lugguage - access to terrace only by moving small table and chairs away from access door - not practical not reccommended for extended stay.
The room was incrediibly small and hot. The bathroom was grotty. No elevator made carrying heavy suitcases upstairs difficult.
The stay was enjoyable and we would like to go back again, but the dinner wasn't that impressive.
Recomended. Love the place, location and staff service.
Perfect, we are coming back.
Out of a week in the South Island this was the best hotel that we stayed at for our family (2 parents, a 10 and an 8 year old). They had a breakfast option of one child eats free with each adult which was great value for great food.
Clean and tidy motel in a great central location. However I feel it was overpriced.
