Getting there:Hotel wing - 35 Hobson Street Tower wing - 22-24 Nelson Street If travelling from the south, take the Nelson Street exit from the Motorway and travel down Nelson Street until you get to the Heritage Tower which is located on your right hand side. If you are booked into the Tower, please pull into the Tower on Nelson Street. If you are booked into the Hotel, please turn into Gorst Lane which seperates the hotel buildings and drive to the top of the drive and park outside the Hotel entrance on your left hand side. If travelling from the north, take the Fanshawe Street exit from the Motorway and continue along Fanshawe Street until you encounter the traffic lights which turn right into Hobson Street. Make sure you are in the right hand lane, and continue up Hobson Street. The entrance dropoff point is right outside the hotel entrance on your right hand side. Please park here.
Check-in Procedure:Reception is available 24 hours. Upon arrival you will be asked for a credit card, or payment of a cash deposit for any incidentals. (Please note VISA debit cards are not accepted as a credit card). If you pay by credit card, please note that a surcharge will apply. The current fee is 1.5% in addition to the total amount payable. Car parking:The hotel offers valet car parking only, at a rate of NZD$35.00 per car, per night(hotel guests only). Your car is parked in our secure underground carpark and can be accessed by concierge as many times as required at your request. Access by entering the driveway in Hobson St (if booked in Hotel Wing) or Nelson St (if booked in Tower Wing). Maximum height is 2.1m. Child Policy:Children under 14 years are free of charge when accompanied by an adult and using existing bedding in the room. If additional bedding is required, then this will be charged at the additional adult charge of $39.10 per night.
I had a very good experience at the Heritage Auckland. The New Zealand rugby players were staying there as well and there was quite a festive, busy atmosphere in the lobby lounge the day I arrived which was the day after their victory. The staff was very helpful and the dinner I had in the restaurant was excellent (garden salad and scallop entree). I also had room service for a dinner that was also very good (beef fillet). I was given a 2 bedroom room which was very spacious. The decor was not my taste, but it was simple and clean. the location was great for walking to Queens Road, the main street for shops and cafes, and the Quay area.
Third time I stayed here, (2nd time in Tower Block), overall service has improved but still not 100% for this kind of Hotel. Airconditioning not that great so had to have balcony doors open to cool room overnight, but room was ok apart from stained carpeting. Overall average I would say.

Apart from getting my name wrong for the booking which I don’t think was their fault these guys rock. I was upgraded to Directors Suite which was on the penthouse level. Amazing views, superb accommodation, a breakfast to die for and great service. Highly recommended
Very nice accommodation. Only problem was the "stuffiness" of the airconditioning.
Staff not at all welcoming, hotel part is like a maze and hard to find your way around. Lifts need swipe card to operate which is a complete pain and after all that you get a really good view of the carpark from the window. The room i was in had marked walls and chipped paintbut was clean. The prices for room service and mini bar are overly expensive and although you leave you breakfast request on the doorknob well before time, its never collected, (this has happened to me twice).

Rooms were big and comfortable with good kitchen type facilities. Outlook from the balcony we had was uninspiring but the price value equation took care of that.
Great location, but a huge hotel. I found the room very noisey, was woken about 4.30am by street cleaner. Also we had no shampoo etc in the room.
Room rate very good, however additioanl charges were very high. Breakfast & car pariking, i would doubt i would stay again on that basis.
A perfect place to stay within easy walking distance to the viaduct and city. Excellent service and when we had a wee issue with noise we were quickly moved to another room, which turned out to be better than the first.
we had a great time - staff were friendly and efficient we would ahppily stay there again and recommend it.
We had a lovely view of the harbour and the room was surprisingly quiet with the windows closed.

This hotel is very well situated, with excellent facilities within the rooms. The standard of decor was very high and the staff were extremely courteous and helpful at all times.
Stayed in Tower room, very good overall, staff were friendly and room was excellent. Prices for room service and everything else was a bit over the top but to be expected.
Breakfast was terrible and room had no view, but the facilities were good and the hotel is ok overall. Eat elsewhere

Excellent stay at this hotel. We were upgraded to suite on top floor with kitchen facilities. Position was walking distance to Viaduct harbour and many good restaurants. Woukd highly recommend it as we had a very comfortable and relaxing stay.
