Herzog Wilhelm Hotel City Munich

Arrived late at night after too many hours in transit to find we had been given a very small room with 2 even smaller beds, where we had booked and paid for the opposite. Very disappointing, but remedied perfectly the next morning with an upgrade which was much appreciated. Magnificent buffet breakfast included in the price and no other hassels. Would use again.

It's a very nice hotel, in the very center of Munich, just 200 meters from the old town. Very clean, excellent breakfast, excellent value for money!

Well placed to walk through the heart of Munich. Rooms small but functional, street parking or pay parking a short walk away. Access to trains excellent. Breakfast selection excellent.

Carpeting in room stained. Requested non smoking - got room that reeked of smoke. Convenient location. Good breakfast.

Great location in Munich as you are a short walk from the town hall, you get a good continental breakfast. The room was very small basic.

The hotel is clean, the services are basic but enough (for someone who does not have the intention to stay all the day in the hotel and does not need much facilities). the staff are good and the location is excellent. the breakfast is also good.

Clean as a whistle; staff is fluent in English and helpful; Früstück is excellent; location is central to most walking points in Munich; am booked in for another week-long stay in mid-October 2007!

Reasonable quality, cleanliness and facilities. You get what you pay for. If you get the room right in front of the stairs, ask to change. Noisy.

Great location, close to everything, safe and clean, rooms are tiny, outdated,as in many European cities, breakfast is wonderful. For the money it is definitely worth it.

Perfect location and pricing with a very friendly personnel. An important rehabilitation is required for installations, but this does not affect the perfectness of the staying.

Very good location, very close to main centre of Munich. Our room was very tiny with the double bed taking up 90% of the room. Breakfat was substantial and varied. Not too bad.

Excellent location. very easy to get to from the airport(direct train to karlsplatz and 5 min walk from there) and easy to get to all the major places either walking or excellent public transport system. multi lingual staff very helpful. rooms are on the small side but very clean and comfortable. the buffet breakfast was very substantial.

For a three star hotel it is very good. The location is superb and so is the breakfast.

I love this charming hotel. I have stayed there frequently. It's just off a noisy main boulevard on a quiet neighborhood side street. It's a short walk to Karlplatz and Sendlingtor. Convenient to everything. It's family owned and operated, and the staff couldn't be nicer. I always try to stay there in Munich.

This hotel's main feature is its fantastic quiet city centre location. Rooms are basic but immaculately clean and comfortable. Breakfast consists of a very good choice of continental produce. Staff are extremely helpful and very approachable for tourist advice. Accommodation has more of an ambience of a well run guest house than a hotel. In all, a good choice.
