Getting there:Hideaway Island can arrange transfers for a fee or take a taxi from the airport. The airport is approximately 10 minutes from the ferry landing and the ferry crossing is another 5 minutes

A lovely resort far enough away from Port Vila for good snorkling and island feel, but close enough if you need to get to Port Vila which one only needs to do once. Chalets were very well designed and comfortable, staff extreamly helpful which all resulted in a fantastic holiday. Restuarant was reasonable and good compared to Port Vila. Definately recommend it !
We stayed in a one bedroom bungalow on Hideaway for 6 nights - it was one of the best holidays we've had - fantastic location outside of Port Vila township, great snorkelling and diving straight from our door! Lovely team, always very helpful. Definitely plan to return again.
Rate per bed. Room has 2 sets of bunk beds inside with a shared fridge and bathrooms. Large lounge above dorms with internet, book exchange, TV and DVDs available for hire.
Twin-share rooms in our beach lodge. Shared bathrooms. Each room has either two single beds or one double, plus fridge, sink, wardrobe and tea/coffee making facilities.
Situated on a private low bank waterfront setting, these units share one common wall with a home on the island and have the same amenities found in all bungalows. These spacious units have vaulted ceilings and are decorated in a tropical theme.
All the one bedroom bungalows have spectacular views over the water and are placed to see either the sunrise or the sunset. With interior floor space of approximately 60 square metres, they are more than generously proportioned. The bathroom, living area and separate bedroom all work together to help you make the most of your prime position next to the ocean. Double doors in the bedroom mean that, depending on the degree of privacy you require, you can even lie in bed and take in the views. The escape from the work-a-day world continues outside, as each one bedroom bungalow has either a wooden or coral deck with chairs and a double hammock, to really help you get into the swing of things.
This uniquely designed Villa is situated on the southerly point of the island and has a 180 degree ocean view. Perfect for a couple, family or two couples. the air conditioned Villa is in an exquisite landscaped setting with a swimming pool & large deck.
We did not expect to have rats in the bungalows.
Nice stay however did not know a generator was going to be making noise 24/7 but then again it is Vanuatu Linen dirty and not changed for 4 days Rats dirtied the linen not us !
This is a hotel where its all about the location its great if you are into marine life to go scuba diving and snorkelling. However I would not recommend it for an extended stay (no more than two nights) as there is not much else to do and its so far away from the town. The food and drinks were good quality but definitely on the expensive side. There is also no room service, air conditioning or T.V's which is quite dissapointing considering the price you pay for a bungalow.
Not quite what I expected, busy with day-trippers and snorkelling area smaller than I thought; what looks like sandy beach in photos is coral rubble and quite uncomfortable to walk on; access to water not very easy. Weather wasn't great while I was there and underwater visibility was limited but my bungalow was spacious and comfortable and on the whole it wasn't a bad place for a relatively short stay.
Fantastic snorkeling!! The people are lovely and the rooms kept very clean. We would definitely go back.
