"Hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful (especially the young ladies at reception). Hotel rooms were basic and spartan but clean. Stay at the hotel was ruined however by drunken rugby yobs who were noisey, constantly drunk and generally disturbed everyones holiday.
Location is not the best as there was a lot of noise at night from streets below. Lobby of hotel is not very welcoming and could do with a new coat of paint. Loved the breakfast on the verandah!!! Overall, not too bad, but would have been better if swimming pool had been functioning." - Garry Tuffin

"The hotel is a very good value for the price and the location is convenient but do not recommend it for anyone over 30. Cairns is a young person's town. We could hear crowds of people until all hours of the morning singing drinking songs in the bars (2-3 on each block) or walking down the streets yelling and partying. We were there on a Monday and Tuesday night. The weekend is probably worse!" - Anonymous
