"Very pleasant and helpful staff. " - antigoni gavriatopoulou
"Very friendly and courteous. It was my wife's birthday and the staff sent her a card and some petit fours. A nice touch. Well done." - David Hilton
"The room was rather small and basic - not a room to linger in! The bathroom was also on the small side with a very limited selection of the usual toiletries
Breakfast was disappointing." - Anonymous
"This is a lovely hotel to stay in, with a great location. It is converted from a terrace of older houses, so the layout in the bedrooms and corridors reflects the older nature of the building. For instance, it is difficult for two people with luggage to pass in the corridor. But - if you have problems with luggage you would get the porter to help wouldn't you?
The staff are friendly and helpful, but it is almost impossible to get a pot of tea made according to the British Standard. Considering that breakfast costs £20 (yes £20!) the hotel should provide a teapot, into which BOILING WATER has been poured on top of tea leaves. The very friendly (but mostly out of town staff) do not understand this concept and despite careful persuasion seem only able to offer a pot of warm water and a paper wrapped tea bag. There is not a teapot with the room service tray of kettle, instant coffee and tea bags either. Hilton could afford it.
This detail is the only fault of the hotel. " - Anonymous
