Getting there:From Melbourne Airport follow the Tullamarine Freeway and CityLink (an electronic toll road that can be pre or post trip paid) to the Flemington Road exit. Travel along Flemington Road and turn right onto Elizabeth Street and follow it to the end and turn left onto Flinders Street. Follow Flinders Street from the city for approximately 1.5 km, where it becomes Wellington Parade.

Good location, only 10 minutes stroll along the park to the centre of Melbourne. Nice to stay at a hotel with a (small) gym, outdoor swimmingpool and indoor jazuzzi. Very good service thourgout our stay. Can recommend it.
great hotel however unable to sleep as room was near the lift & until early hours of morning sounded like a bus was coming into room every time it was used & started again around 6am so not much sleep at all. spoilt an otherwise good stay.
Very welcoming and given an upgrade to a deluxe room on the top floor overlooking the MCC & Rod Laver Arenas. King sized bed, very comfortable. Short walk through the park into the top end of the city. Trams & Trains & Bus stops just outside. Beautiful buffet breakfast. Walking distance to catch a concert in Rod Laver Arena or footy at the MCC. Thoroughly recommend this place.
While I enjoyed the stay I found it quite pricey for a room that did not include Valet Parking or breakfast. The view from the room was great & it was very comfortable. Had a wee problem in getting the water to the right temperature in the shower & there was no fan in the bathroom to get rid of condensation. Other than that it suited my purpose.
Hotel and breakfast are good. But service is so so. Weekend Breakfast time till 11am. So I requested for half an hour delay check out to 11:30pm. Hilton reply was you need to pay extra $15 for half an hour delay check-out.

I found everyone and everything except no bin liners good for the price. Access to MCG and shopping excellent.
I stayed for two nights at the Hilton on the Park and found it very pleasant. The outlook was lovely and the service was superior. I have stayed at a lot of Hotels in my time and all staff greeted me with a smile and a conversation. The only downfall for me was the OH&S concern in the shower. The way the shower is set up creates a high risk for people scalding themselves. The taps are located under the shower head at the bath level and there is a glass barrier preventing you from reaching into the taps without getting wet. The taps are not marked as hot and cold. Although we all know hot water is on the left, there are international visitors that stay there that may not be familiar with this. I found that I had to turn the very stiff shower head towards the wall while I got the water to the correct temperature.
Overall this is a good hotel, with the features one would expect from a 5 star Hilton Hotel. We stayed on a Saturday night and had to endure incredible noise from rowdy rooms near us. ( what you would expct in a one star pub!!! not a 5 star) Management did not have good control over this.
This was the fourth time this year we've stayed here. Staff are always helpful & friendly. Buffet Breakfast would have to be the best in Melbourne. Also close to MCG, which was the main reason we chose this Hotel.
The only complaint is the small bathroom and the shower which was placed in the bathtub. I would expect more from a 5 star hotel. Otherwise, the rooms are reasonable and the beds are comfortable.

The staff and service is outstanding at this hotel. Facilities also excellent, especially the outdoor heated pool, so OK for winter months also. Whilst not in the CBD, there's easy access to trams.
