"The Nordica is outside of the city center, but does have a free shuttle with limited trips to and from the city center. It's about a 15-20 minute walk or a $18 taxi ride. It does have a Reykjavik Excursions (owned by Icelandair) in the lobby, so booking tours and getting picked up and dropped off is easy. It's a very nice and modern hotel with free internet." - Anonymous

Hotel description:    Location : The Nordica hotel is located a short walk from the sea, overlooking miles of rugged scenery. It is approximately 15 minutes walk from the shopping centre area of Reykjavik.

Rooms: The rooms are newly renovated. They are medium in size and of course in exceptional condition along with the bathrooms. All rooms are modern and furnished in soft, light colours and have a comfortable business-like feel.

Restaurant: The restaurant is a cosy size, with simple furnishings, the emphasis is on being a meeting place.

General : A good modern hotel with all necessary facilities, close to the city centre.

Getting there: Drive along Road Nr.41 into Reykjavik and then follow the road signs to the city center. Drive under three bridges and travel through 3 sets of traffic lights, when you pass the third bridge you will see the Hotel Nordica on your right.

You can either take a Taxi or use the Shuttle Bus service from the airport to the city. We recommend using the Shuttle Bus service where as it is a less expensive alternative.
