Hinton Grange is situated in the sleepy village of Hinton, on the southern slopes of the beautiful Cotswold Hills, yet just 5 minutes from junction 18 on the M4. The hotel retains all the old character and ambiance of the 15th Century farm house, barns and stables.   There are 6 acres of stunning park land, wooded grounds and gardens. Low beams, stonewalls, blazing open fires and candlelight in all the lounges and Conservatory Restaurant. Together this creates a romantic old world charm and ambiance of an age past. The lounges and beautiful old Inglenook Restaurant, considered to be one of the best in the West of England, are all small, cosy and intimate. All of our rooms are unique, with period and antique decor and furnishings. They are all delightful, spacious rooms and have period working open coal fires (with the exception of room 20) and all rooms have a well spaced dining area for entertaining around the fire. Most rooms have Victorian bathing and all rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone and colour television. Our suites also have mini bars available. The facilities available to our resident guests include Pitch and Putt, a croquet lawn and fishing lake.

Our room was lovely and we generally had an enjoyable stay. The only negative things were that our room was cold and it took an extrenely long time for the water to fill the bath.

What a great hotel!!! We loved our one night stay in the period room that had a beutiful open fire in to snuggle up in front of on a cold winters night. The bed was very comfortable and very inkeeping with the age of the hotel. We had a three course meal included along with breakfast and I have to say it was delicious, the setting of the restaurant is within the conservatory which I expected to be chilly on a cold winters evening but it was very comfortable indeed. A very romantic hotel with great gardens and superb rooms full of history!

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The resturant setting was a delight, so tranquil and different, plus lovely food. Although the rooms are old in style, obiviously to keep in tradition with the hotel, it would prove an added benefit to upgrade furnishings. I would recommend this hotel to others for a relaxing break away from it all!!

This hotel was lovely. Very quirky, very English and in a wonderful location. Our room was beautifully decorated with antiques including a wonderful four poster bed, old oak table, wardrobe, roll top bath, open coal fire etc. There was also provided an iron, hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities. The meal we had on saturday evening was beautiful. My husband had duck breast as a starter, rack of lamb as a main course and Baileys cheesecake , I had caramelized figs with goats cheese, cod wrapped in parma ham and lemon posset with shortbread and frest fruit. Breakfast the following morning was also excellent. The only thing that let the weekend down a bit was our bathroom. It was slightly tired and in need of replacement. However, I would be more than happy to visit this hotel again and hope to do so in the near future.

The bathroom was very dirty when we arrived. The rest of the hotel was cleaned to a fair standard. We enjoyed our stay but did feel the bathroom let standards down.

The first room we were put into was quite noisy due to being above the restaraunt. Reception moved us to another room after giving us a choice of two others. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful,(especially the lady on reception)the food in the restaurant was excellent and the setting of the hotel was very good.

A little difficult to find in the dark, but once i arrived it was all plain sailing. A Very warm welcome, quaint and spacious rooms, a good nights sleep on a comfortable four poster, no road or other noises. Good service at breakfast and then most importantly, only a few minutes from the motorway made for an easy journey. I got a good rate by booking online. I would deffinately use this hotel again.
