The Hostal Hispano-Argentino is a hotel accomodation located on the 6th floor of one of the most emblematic buildings of the Gran Vía of Madrid. It was founded in 1965 and it has today modern and totally refurbished premises. The Hostal Hispano-Argentino is located in the Gran Vía, within walking distance from La Cibeles, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor,... This privileged location will allow you to walk to most places of interest such as the Prado Museum, the Reina Sofía Museum, the Royal Palace, monuments, etc.

Getting there:
The situation of the Hostal Hispano-Argentino in downtown Madrid makes easy to move by public transportation to everywhere in the city. The underground station "Gran Vía" and several bus stops are only 20 mts. away. If you come from Barajas Airport you can take: METRO (underground) and get off at "Gran Vía" (not recommended if you carry luggage). Special BUS service from the Airport and get off at "Plaza Colón" (last stop) and then take the METRO or a TAXI. TAXI: recommended but do not pay more than €25 all included.

There are several public car parks in the surroundings.

Very friendly staff - I am not sure how much English is spoken but they are extremely nice and will try to help you anyway! Wireless internet access costs a euro or two an hour or 6 euros for 24 hours and works very well. Breakfast is in a very pleasant, sunny room, but is not much food if you are used to an English or American breakfast - expect a piece of toast, a pastry, and coffee or tea. This was a very pleasant place to stay and is very centrally located! Should not cost more than 25 euros to take a cab from Barajas.
