The hotel in terms of location and pricing is great as it is smack in the middle of the town. The hotel is basically setup for chinese business travellers but is definitely not recommended for travellers who does not smoke. That is the constant irritant as the occupants are allowed to smoke anywhere in the hotel. From the lobby to the restuarants, washrooms and even individual level's lift landings/lounge areas. I basically feel smothered in smoke all the time. Defnitely not recommended for those with asthma or with young kids. The staff are not really English speaking as is most hotels in Haikou but I speak chinese so it is not a major issue but may become one if you are a mainstay English speaker.
We stay 1 night at this hotel and we were happy with the room, we booked the business suite, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom was flooded as the drainage was quite bad even after the maintenance people came to look into it. The staffs was friendly & helpful. The location was very convenient as we only need to walk across the street for shopping and at night there were many hawkeys selling local delicacies which we enjoyed very much, the price is cheap and reasonable compared to what we need to forked out in Sanya. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.
