"I love the HNA HuaGang & have stayed there often - mainly because of its absolutely sensational location right on the West Lake, with almost its own little private section. The hotel itself is comfortable & rooms are well serviced, though I'm a little surprised that the general level of English spoken by staff has actually seemed to have gradually decreased from when I was first here just over 5 years ago. Also, a slight irritation is that is so popular that there is almost always a conference - or wedding! - going on. " - John Brock
"The room doesn't have a bath tub, so it was inconvenient for us as we have a small toddler. Only chinese restaurant was opened while we stayed, and provided poor service. I don't think we will use this hotel again. " - Anonymous
"We booked a superior lakeview room, it was really dirty, old and not very good at all. Heaven knows what the standard room was like!!" - emma hall
"Great location, overall very good value. Has all the room amenities of a 5-star but less of the glitz and glamor and breakfast is Chinese-style only (the token croissants were a bit stale). I enjoyed the quiet, cozy rooms and wonderful location overlooking the lake, with most of the lake-side sights within walking distance. Would highly recommend it unless you can't do without Western brand-hotel polish and the bustle of downtown Hangzhou, which is a short taxi ride away." - Francesca Boggio Robutti
