"In October of 2007 we stayed at the Hoabinh Palace for 5 days and were not impressed with what we got for $85 per night.
The hotel's an elegant old girl in need of a facelift. They're trying their best by local standards but missing the mark; the room was very small, our bathroom had been retrofitted with marble flooring and walls and included a bidet but the shower didn't drain properly and the fit and finish of the tile work wasn't up to the quality of the materials used.
If we had to do it over again we wouldn't have spent as much time in either the Hoabinh Palace or Hanoi.
At the present time we're in Hoi an and having a much better time.

Our Deluxe Room was in 7th floor, clean with all amenities, bath with shower cabin. 8th floor restaurant where also ABF is served offers spectacular views over the old city and Hoan Kiem Lake. All staff (reception, housekeeping, guards, consierge, cleaning, restaurant, massage lounge, airport pick-up & drop-off) deserve our deepest gratitude. If you are looking for a 3 Star Hotel in the middle of Hanoi Old Quarter, here it is! The Rooms are clean with all amenities, bath with shower cabin in Deluxe room or Jacuzzi in Executive room. The 8th floor Restaurant where also ABF is served offers spectacular views over the Old City and Hoan Kiem Lake. All staff (reception, housekeeping, guards, concierge, cleaning, restaurant, massage lounge, airport pick-up & drop-off) deserve our deepest gratitude.
Simply said: we just fell in love with Hoa Binh Palace Hanoi Hotel.
Located at 27 Hang Be Street, the hotel features an accommodation of 40 rooms, two restaurants located on 1st floor and 8th floor, and a basement for parking. Designed in traditional French architectural style, the newly- built hotel is both in harmony with its surrounding area and differs itself from other nearby buildings as well.
