We enjoyed our stay because the hotel was comfortable and close to the amenities and attractions in Hobart city. Because of the short distance to trip departures we managed to be on earlier excursions than we would otherwise have done, and thus got more out of each day. We also enjoyed the convenient shopping at the nearby central city shopping area.

Staff were most helpful. TVs need updating so that all free to air channels can be obtained. The meal in the restaurant was nice, but the steak was tough. 11.00 am checkout was great!
Very good shuttle bus service from / to airport direct to Hotel. Centrally placed, easy walking to all CBD facilities. Very good dining. Highly recommended
Dated decor but very clean and comfortable. Right in the CBD within walking distance of Salamanca and the harbour. Great patisserie across the road and good coffee shops just around the corner.
A basic hotel. there is a good Irish pub across the road that does a good meal.
This Hotel is within 2 minutes walking of the city mall. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and facilities clean and tidy.
The room and facilities are very basic and outdated, however everything very clean and spotless and quiet. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and knowledgeable regarding the local area. Located in the heart of the of city, next to mall, and less than 5 minute walk to wharf area where many restuarants etc are located. Good value for money. Would definitely stay here again.

Room facilities were not great for older people. The get into the shower, you needed to step down into the bath. No handrails in the bath which meant is could be a safety risk for some. The breakfast option in the motel's cafe were average, but could be improved by cooking for each person's order rather than having food stay heated (and therefore drying out). The convenience of the location was great for those without cars.
We would stay there again and would recomend The Midcity Hotel to our friends.
rooms are dated but comfortable. traffic noise is a problem. lifts are slow, awkward to operate, and there are no stairs.

Only stayed one night. Staff very helpful & the location was excellent. You're basically in the heart of the shopping area and only a short walk to Constitution Dock & the harbour.
