The hotel was established since 1959 and is the first privately owned international tourist hotel in Taiwan and is located right in the city center. Tourist spots within walking distance from the hotel- Love River, Liuhe Night Market.

Getting there:
5 minutes walk to Liuhe night market 5 minutes to Love River 10 minutes walk to major shopping centre DIRECTION Drive down Jhongjheng Interchange from Jhongshan Freeway, go straight ahead to Jhongjheng 4th Road and turn to Liuhe 2nd Road until the end (close to Shihjhong 1st Road). It takes about 15 minutes. Drive on Tai 1 Route heading to Minzu Road, and turn to Liuhe Road until the end (close to Shihjhong 1st Road). It takes about 20 minutes.

The hotel was one of the first commercial hotel in Taiwan. If you want a quiet stay in Kaohsiung and get away from the crowd, this is an excellent place. There is an outdoor swimming pool, a few restaurants serving Chinese, HK and Western cuisine. Wifi is provided in the whole hotel. Room space is adequately spacious. The toilet and bathroom is quite spacious compare with many similar hotel. Each room is decorated with a unique design. A nice TV with more channels than you ever wanted is provided in-room. The only draw back for me is that it is a bit too remote. Nearest Subway station is 10 minute walk away. If you don't mind paying for taxi fare, taxi service is readily available in front of the hotel.

Modern facilities. Staff frendly and helpful. Buffet breakfasts included with wide variety and good quality. Close to love river with easy walking on promenade. Close to mrt (2 blocks). On same road as night market (4 blocks away). Good swimming pool.
