Situated in a prime position in the resort of Amracao de Pera, the Holiday Inn Algarve offers a welcoming atmosphere and traditional cuisine combined with quality and comfort. The Hotel has superb views of the sea and surrounding area, and has direct access to one of the most popular sandy beaches of the Algarve, from where the fishermen still sell their catch to the local market. Totally refurbished in 2003 the 185 guest rooms have satellite television, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, air conditioning and heating. Facilities of the Hotel include two restaurants, two bars, heated swimming-pool and sun terraces. Regular evening entertainment is provided in our Bar "Boa Vista" which like our restaurants enjoy panoramic views of the ocean and sunset.

Getting there:Directions to the Holiday Inn from Faro Airport Holiday Inn is situated in Armao de Pra. On leaving the Airport, follow the road for about 2.5kms. This takes you onto the new flyover. Follow the signs for Portimo and you will merge onto a main road which is the EN125. After approx. 4 kms you will see a blue sign for the motorway (IP1). Keep left in the direction of Loul and follow the blue signs up onto the motorway. Follow signs for Portimo until you reach the Armao de Pra exit. At the large roundabout, follow the sign to Armao de Pra. Continue until Alcantarilha,(the first traffic lights) get into the right hand lane and turn right for Armao de Pra (it is sign posted). At the next small roundabout at the edge of the town, turn left. Follow the one way system (second right turn, then second left turn) you will reach the seafront road, the building in front of you at this moment is the Holiday Inn, turn left, then right into the main entrance.

I cannot find fault with the hotel or location in any way. We had a very enjoyable week and our only negative is that we didn't book for longer.
Excelent location on the beachfront. Pool and terrace area ideally situated that you can hear the waves lapping on the shore. Breakfast buffet was lovely. Walking distance to some great restaurants and bars. Would certainly go back again

They have discontinued afternoon tea and cakes which were much appreciated. This is a backward step.
A lovely hotel in a lovely resort. Single/twin bed rooms have a shower but no bath and the balcony is tiny, but on the plus side there is a fridge for guest use, efficient air conditioning, tea/coffee makings and a hairdryer. TV has BBC1 and Sky Sports. Tourists in Armacao are mostly Portuguese themselves and prices in cafés around the resort are very cheap, 65c for coffee and €1.80 for beer. Fish restaurants excellent. Beach is right beside the hotel.
Great views of the beach, it may be worth paying the extra for a sea view as the rear view is not great, but the balconys are very small. Excellent breakfast with outides terrace overlooking the beach. Very close to the town bars, shops and restaurants, flat walking distance. We would go again
We had big luck with this hotel 60 sqm room with seeview for little money. the see is also fantastic here, also the food in the hotel, and in the town.
Superb position, reception staff very good. Breakfast good except Hot Buffet, Scrambled Egg terrible.
