OUTSTANDING refurbished rooms situated amongst 10 acres of tranquil gardens. Just 4kms from the International and Domestic Terminals. The 250 guestrooms are away from flight paths & road noise. All rooms have been refurbished and are now Aucklands most modern. Our rooms are big enough to swing two cats at the same time if you like. There are no phone box size rooms here. ALL are 28 sq meters or bigger. The hotel rooms have been divided equally between Twin rooms with 2 double beds, and King rooms. Our King DELUXE have the added bonus of facing the beautiful centre courtyard gardens. We also have Nine Suites ranging from our Superior Tower Suites and Deluxe Spa Suites to our Super Deluxe Tower Suite. ALL our Suites have Spas.

Getting there:An airport shuttle service operates between the hours of 4:00am to 2:00 am daily. Collects and drops off passengers to and from the terminals every 30 minutes. The scheduled pick up times from the Airport is a quarter past and a quarter to the hour except with the final pick up at 1:45am and the first pick up of the day at 4:00am. There is no service between 2:00am and 4:00am. The cost is $10.00 per adult for a return fare. The pick up point from the International Terminal is across the drop off area from door 6. At the NZ Domestic terminal, the pick up is outside door number 5. The pick up from the Qantas Domestic Terminal is directly outside the main doors. Driving - take George Bolt Memorial Drive to the 2nd set of lights and turn left onto Kirkbride Road, then take free turn left at the next set of lights. Hotel entrance is 20m from corner. trip. Good hotel and nice friendly service.
Our favorite Auckland hotel and so close to the airport. the place is always pristine, with good to very good room service meals and a friendly atmosphere. We usually book a 2 x double bed room and there is ample space, great TV and bathroom as you'd expect. We have tried many, but have not found a better hotel to stay at in preparation for an early departure the next day.
Lovely room, friendly staff. No newspaper offered or given. Would definately go back again.
The Holiday Inn Auckland Airport is a fantastic hotel to stay at if you are looking at an overnight stay in New Zealand which is close to the airport. The hotel is well serviced by a shuttle bus running to and from the airport every 30 minutes. The rooms are nice, clean and you also get a choice of what type of pillow you would like to sleep on. It should be noted that the hotel has 2 floors with the majority of the rooms being located on the 2nd level. There is no lift between the ground floor and 1st, so be aware that if you are travelling with luggage you will need to carry it up a decent flight of stairs. Hotel staff are on hand if you need help with your luggage. The buffet breakfast at the hotel is sensational. My wife and I could not believe the large selections that were on offer and is one of the best breakfasts that we have seen around the world. We would certainly recommend the breakfast. The buffet also opens early for those that have early flights.

Good location as a base to see Auckland. Staff were great and the breakfast menu unlimited. The passage areas show signs of wear and need new carpet.
Staff were friendly and obliging. Was a bit surprised to find $5 per night for parking added to the account when we came to pay. Have to take this into consideration when comparing prices.
This hotel was quite adequate for a "stopover."
Compared with all the other places we stayed out the price for meals was excessive
Somehow we locked ourselves out of our room and were told that it was probably because the double lock had been used before we left our room. I don't know how because you really have to swing it before it locks. Apart from that this is an awesome hotel with excellent service in all areas. Highly recommended for a relaxing break.

Very quiet, good parking, one bad point is poor tv reception on some channels otherwise would stay again.
Hotel carpets look in need of refurbishment, the service was lovely - felt like you were wanted as a guest, need to be a little more diligent checking bed throws, mine looked as if it had hot chocolate spilt on the underside.
Staff excellent helpful. BREAKFAST plenty of variation but average quality Dinner (pre-paid for conference)was very ordinary and poor in quality.
Don't like the Long Life milk provided. The bathroom needs a heated towel rail.
Unfortunately "house cleaning" knocked on our door 3 times from 8.30am on. We had a late flight the night before and all were wanting to sleep in.
