Nice hotel and big rooms, but they charge a 7% vat tax which is only used when they want to get as much money as they can out of tourists.
Not very close to anything (2 km from old town) but the hotel and service were great.

Spacious room. Good spread of food at the buffet breakfast. Concierge is helpful and friendly. Speedy check in too.

What can I say, the room was huge, we could have had a party in it. The breakfast had everything you could imagine. The staff were professional and very friendly. We didn't want to leave after the 3 nights. We can't wait to stay again.

If you are going to Chiang Mai the Holiday Inn is one of the best Hotels we have stayed in, it is value for money. The staff are incredible, breakfast is so big you WILL NOT want ot eat lunch. We will definitely be booking at the Holiday Inn, the next time we visit Chiang Mai. Not in the middle of town, about 3kms from downtown (50 Baht in a Tuk-Tuk) and 120 baht from the Airport, a great location

The hotel is away from Chiang Mai and town centre and not really close to anything so you have to take a tuk-tuk whenever you want to go anywhere. The hotel facilities are dated but the service is good.
The room was large, and the beds were comfortable. However the hotel could need some refurbishing, it seems a bit old. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was very good. It is only a short ride into the city. Ask for a taxi at the reception or grab a tuk-tuk outside. We would stay there again.
