Holiday Inn Darwin

The room and facilities were very good and the service when checking in and out was excellent and the staff very helpful.

The rooms were very clean and the staff were excellent. The facilities in the room provided were excellent - in room safe, iron, ironing board, hair dryer and toiletries. The breakfast was also very good with a large selection of food and drinks. Overall an enjoyable stay.

An excellent hotel. the lift out of action caused inconvenience but it was promptly repaired and all was well

The staff were excellent - room very clean and food was great. Thought it was great that the breakfast buffet was available from 3am week days for people going on tours and catching flights.

Good location, pool, breakfast and staff. The real let down is probably just the rooms themselves. While being ok, they are a little run down. Beds not that comfy and a noisy air con made it hard to get a good night sleep.

Great location, great reception, great breakfast. The hotel is a little on the tired side in terms of decor, but the rooms are comfortable, we had a great view of Darwin Harbour and a short stroll to the Mitchell Street precinct. Free parking was an added bonus as was a copy of the morning paper.

Have stayed at this Hotel many times over the last 10 years,it has recently had a makeover to rooms but not very impressed. Still has something to offer though and you can still open the window!

The beds were incredibly comfortable!

It was hard to tell whether we were booked in at Holiday Inn Esplanade or Darwin. I only found out at the check in counter. The check out time was early 11 am.

Loved it, had a fantastic time. Cannot fault this Hotel.

Would be great to have gym

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the Hotel. The location of the street is excellent - quiet and oppose to a park.The room was clean but the water in the swimming pool was not as clean as we expected. The service was good, but some of the staff at the pool side restaurant seemed a bit rush. They tried to take away our plates which still had food on! The room charge was good especially we only paid $20.00 more for full buffet breakfast for two of us.

Great location & breakfast, common areas a bit run down, everything wears out quicker in the tropics

Good Parking, Easy to find and walking distance from the centre,. Very good breakfast buffet at reasonable cost. The only down was the room facing the Darwin entertainment centre which was rather loud espcially if one preferred to sleep with doors to balcony open.

Nice hotel, only a short walk to Mitchell Street.

We didn't use any of the facilities because we arrived late and checked out early, but the room had everything we needed, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great location for those without transport. Very helpful & friendly staff. Lovely relaxing pool area with poolside service for bar & restaurant.

Hotel is nice with big rooms and huge beds. Good location - walking distance to the main shopping/restaurant areas. Very expensive for what you get - Darwin is ok but not much to do and is generally incredibly overpriced - everywhere was a rip-off. Nice views from the sea facing rooms. Booked a shuttle bus for the airport and after waiting in lobby with all bags it never showed and had to get a taxi instead - guy behind reception did not bother to tell us which was very annoying.
