It was a Great Place to stay while in Malacca....would surely recommend to friends and will definately go back there. Staff at the Hotel were very helpful and went out of their way to recommend road directions and food. We got the view facing the straits and on the 12 floor...Fantastic and very relaxing view Breakfast at the hotel was an enjoyable time for my family...selection was good 5 stars for the Hotel :)
The hotel was a 100% full with families on school vacation in Malaysia. The noise level was very high but the second day the very nice front office manager (Jessie) upgraded me to a quiter floor. Becareful of the private travel service in the lobby area(it appears it's part of the concierge desk, but it isn't). They overcharge for taxis and use illegal taxis. I know this because the taxi driver made us get out of the cab just before the bus station because he couldn't enter inside the drop-off area.
The staffs are very friendly. They gave great guide on how to tour around Melaka with the map they provided. Best of all is they provide free shuttle bus service daily at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, 8pm and 10pm. The drop off and pick up points are infront of Dataran Pahlawan Melaka Megamall and at Victoria Fountain. The room is very clean and look new. Best of all is they changed carpet every 3 years. The view of Straits of Malacca from hotel room is fantastic. They do provide baby cot for young children upon request and is F.O.C. The swimming pool provides floats for children to play with and my kids enjoy it alot. Great place to stay in and we enjoy it alot.
I usually stay away from Holiday Inn, and I chose this hotel as there were few choices. What a pleasant surprise. Not like any Holiday Inn I've known. It is far more upscale than the name would suggest.
This is my second time experience and it is still a good experience although I wish the Sirocco bar is open till a little bit more than midnite. Maybe add another hour for me to chill out.
Comfortable and good friendly service.
Efficient, convenient and I had a good stay. Recommended if you want a comfortable place, but of course you have to pay a little bit more for that but you won't regret. :)
We can recommend highly this hotel. We had a room with views to the Straits. The hotel is in a great location. It is excellent value for money and a very,very comfortable place to stay - rooms large and modern. Breakfast can be requested when checking in - a better deal at this time and very good value for money. If you are coming from Singapore we recommend travel by bus- we used Star Mart -very cheap and very comfortable buses. We caught a bus to Kuala Lumpur from here and this was also great value - and no waiting at airports!!!
Service was excellent. Staff were cordial and approachable. Only complain is there is no wine on the in-room dining menu.
Staff are very friendly, parking was easy, hotel clean and facilities are good. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. We enjoyed our stay and the pool is so relaxing looking out to the Malacca Straits. Beautiful!

This is an excellent hotel in a good location. Its not far from the main attractions of Melaka, although crossing the busy road is not always easy. The swimming pool is superb with great views over the sea. The nearby Pier Complex has a great Thai Restaurant - a good option if you ar too tired to head in to the old town again.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel with a seaview joined room. My son love the swimming pool and it wasnt crowded even in the morning. Breakfast was good and hotel staff are very friendly too!
nice hotel. very near to shopping centre. But internet should be given free instead of just 30min.
