Holiday Inn On Avon Christchurch

The only Big thing missing is the fact that they didn't provide us with a Porter / Concierge. Struggled with the Bags, but in all other they were good. Help from Room Services was excellent

Hotel is not easy to locate as there are many one-way routes. It is not easily visible from the streets. Direction signs for access to hotel should be erected near the roads leading to the hotel.

Loved the setting where this hotel was. Rooms are a good size with a bath! Resturant was well piced and meals great. I would cetainly stay here again, and do recommend it to others. My only gripe was they forgot one of my wake up calls!

It was a very pleasent stay I rated cleanliness as good only as we found the tiles quite sticky We arrived at 10pm and found nothing avaiable apart from room service Had it been fine weather the loation would of been fine but a bit far to walk to town in the rain and there shuttle service ran only hourly then only to other Holiday inn

Cannot fault any part of the hotel. Staff were very nice and friendly, food in the restaurant was good. Location was quite handy for the city, really enjoyed our time there.

We ran a conference at this hotel and stayed for the 3 nights. We were looked after in a very professional and friendly personal manner. Every detail was looked after and we had a wonderful time. All the staff were great!!!!!!!!!!!

Arrived late in evening and everything was ready. Room was clean. We would use this place again. Quiet location. Not in the center of town if you don't have a car.

Efficient and friendly staff. Facilities were good and location very convenient.

The twin room is spacious with 2 double bed. There is no a/c and have to open the windows. This attracts insects/mosquitoes into the room. There are also free car parking. Overall my stay was pleasant.

Comfortable and clean. When tried to get breakfast at 9.55 am was told that it was 10 and the dining room was closed. Not Impressed as it was a public holiday with no local alternatives available.

service in the restaraunt was slow and the meal of some of our party was disappointing

Love this place!! Staff friendly and helpful, rooms spacious, bright and comfortable, beds really comfortable (even husband didn't snore - miracle). Breakfast is the only meal we have here but always a pleasure to wake up to. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Christchurch.

A nice place to stay, its getting a bit dated and quite a walk into town, but is quite and comfortable.

Amazing deal if you book 3 or more days before: $79. Their swimming pool is one of the better ones in Christchurch. Staff on the reception are very friendly

We always enjoy staying at this hotel. It is quiet and easy to get to if you are driving. We would certainly recommend it to other travellers.

On the whole stay here was very pleasant, the room was quite hot, no air conditioning, but we opened the window so that was fine. Breakfast a little dissapointing, bacon and susages of low quality.

The reason for the lower ratings are - Faciilties - there was no extractor fan in the toilet Location - nice location but a bit awkward if without a car Pricing - average, I guess

There was no air conditioning in my room. Very unpleasant, especially in the warm summer months.
