Holiday Inn Resort Penang

Overall was quite valued for money hotel. We booked for four rooms, forget about the seaview room for RM 40-50 extra. There are the same type of rooms. The view did not worth that extra money you spent. The same long walk to the beach. Did not came with free WIFI even at public area really a disappointment.

Was in heart of batu ferringhi staff went beyond call of duty i wear hearing aids when one broke they went out of there way to find a repairer. Was upgraded to sea veiw would stay again when visiting penang.

We had a lovely stay at the Holiday Inn Resort Penang. We upgraded to a room with a balcony and a sea View in the tower wing and it was excellent. The room was very big, extremely clean with a King size bed, huge TV, Coffee and tea making facilities. It was lovely looking out at the sunset in the evening and watching the activities of the night market right outside. It is close to everything and yet very quiet, and the pool area was lovely and shaded with umbrellas and pine trees on the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and we were very comfortable there.

Checked into the tower wing which wasnt too bad. Security could be better. As we arrived in the evening, there was no one at the door to guide or welcome. Overall, enjoyed stay at Holiday Inn. Great location for night market shopping,got around in their bus services,very comfortable and air conditioned.

Good location in the centre of the tourist precient. We stayed in the Tower, which is across the road from the main building. I prefer this as there are no balconies on the main building. Not all rooms on the tower have balconies either. A little noisy from the local mosque that starts at 5.30am. Not a lot to do on the island.

There is no Sauna,Jaguzzi,Steam Bath, which is typical of a 4 star rated Hotel. This should be a 3 star rating for the reasons as above. You are charging exhorbitantly for a minimum facility. This is called daylight robbery.

It was a good spot to stay in, with lovely gardens and right on the beach. I think there could be a few more activities available to guests, that wouldn't be a huge investment on the hotels part, such as kayacks or sailing dinghy's on the beach. We wanted to use the hotel bicycles for a day, and were quoted more than car hire! That was disappointing, as the bikes were locked up and unused throughout our stay.

This is a FABULOUS place to stay, very good location although its about 10 miles from Georgetown(Capitol) Excellent facilities, Staff extremely helpful. Our stay was 7 days but wished it could have been longer, but will stay there again and recommend the hotel.

stayed 3 nights in april 2009 facilties are nice in general although a little run down,i stayed at the tower behind the road, i heard some rooms are being renovated near the beach staff is nice and helpful, food is excellent, better than the touristy restaurants around, pool is nice, beach is clean-although swimming was forbidden due to too many jellyfishes in the rainy season-for the price, nice bars near the beach around in the evening, a good value

Good location with choice of sea view or hill view. Even if you stay at the Feringghi Tower (I call it the hillside wing) which is across the road from the beach building, there is the bridge that connects both buildings and also it is an easy way to go direct to the beach from the hillside wing. Good location if you are interested to see the night market along the streets as the market is located just next to the hotel. Also convenient to go to some nice restaurants nearby. Just in a walking distance. Not far to go to Hard Rock Cafe Penang too! Good recommendation.

Very nice and neat. Especially good for family as it comes with 2 double bed. Just in front of beach and quite convenient to find food as well.

Very pleasant beach front hotel right a the centre of activities in Batu Ferringhi Beach. Walking distance to The Ship and Eden Hotels plus Lebanese-Arab restaurants

Fantastic place, all the facilities that you need for a great short stay, Staff very helpful and services very good. In the right area with the night market on your doorstep.
