Hondo Hotel Taipei

My family have a wonderful experience staying at the hotel. We stayed in a family room for four for 7 nights. The room size is big and cosy and we were offered the basic necessary toiletries. The free WI-FI service in the hotel also provides us with a convenient platform to check the weather and make internet bookings. However we were offered a room with no windows which causes the air condition in the room to be stale. Furthermore, we can often get the cigarettes smell at the corridor outside my room even though theres a sign that states no smoking. All in all my family have a splendid experience especially since the Taipei Metro is a walking distance away and would gladly recommend the hotel to our friends.

very nice location. big room and good breakfast.not too many choices in breakfast but good enough. free softdrink and provide snacks and fruits daily. what a treat! :)

Convenient location and great price. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The in-room internet cable worked fine, but the wireless was slow and unreliable. Breakfast is all-you-can-eat with a wide variety of Chinese dishes--not much in the way of Western breakfast food, though.

Hondo Hotel is very clean. Each room is equipped with free sodas, water bottles, toiletries, etc. There is free internet on the main lobby. The staff here is very helpful and most speak English. The hotel is conveniently located near two bus stops and a main MRT station. There are many eateries a few steps away. Warning: No breakfast on Mondays.

This is the 2nd time I stayed in Hondo Hotel as it has very large room with 2 big double beds sufficient for my family. We had a pleasant and memorable stay at this hotel and would recommend others to use it.

The room is really big and definitely spacious, however, this hotel is not close to subway, so you need to take cab wherever you plan to go. Overall it's good!

Recommended! Clean & Spacious! The triple deluxe room is HUGE- 2 Queen sized beds, a sofa area, a writing area, an extra space big enough for an exercise stretch area plus a HUGE bathroom. The daily breakfast is fairly good (a choice of American breakfast or Chinese congee with a few condiments) although more choices would be preferred for longer stayers. Walking to the nearest metro station (Nanjing East Rd Station) is straightforward though not exactly near (a 10-15min walk). One other plus point, the hotel is located diagonally opposite a good hotpot/steamboat restaurant - Guo Ba Shua Shua Guo. Check it out as the food is very good and Hondo guests get 10% discount!

Daily breakfast is good enough (a choice of Chinese congee with some accompaniments or American breakfast) although more choices would be preferred by those who stay longer. Hondo is not exactly near the metro station though it's a straight forward 15-min walk to the Nanjing East Road Station. Nonetheless, it's just diagonally opposite a very good hotpot/steamboat place - 锅爸刷刷锅 (Guo Ba Shua Shua Guo). Get a recommendation card from the hotel reception and enjoy 10% discount 锅爸刷刷锅 !

The effort of the hotel to provide toiletries and other useful knick knacks like hairclip, eyedrops, mouth gargle is excellent. It would have been excellent if the hotel is sited closer to where the action in Taipei is.

Room spacious, comfortable and clean. A business-class hotel that's value-for-money. Almost 10min walk to train station.

Good value for money with an excellent bathroom. Close to airport transfer bus route. Reasonably close to MTR train station which gives good access across Taipei. Reception staff friendly and their is an Internet computer adjacent to the reception area. Reasonably priced restaurants nearby. Staff were helpful and supplied iron and ironing board.

I was very impressed with the personal service at the hotel, the reception staff always remembered my room number and were very willing to help with any questions.

Stayed here for 2 nights on my way back to Australia. We got to the hotel at 7:30am (due to an early flight) and the staff were so friendly and gave us a complimentary breakfast. We were expecting to leave our luggage and comeback and check in later, however, midway through breakfast one of the staff came up and said our room was ready to check into (9:00am)! The rooms are HUGE and have free internet. It's about a 500m walk to the train station. In summary - huge rooms, good location and great staff. I would definatley stay here again!

I was very pleased with this hotel. It's a 10 minute walk to the MRT train, with a couple good cafes and restaurants nearby. The rooms and attached bathrooms were surprisingly nice and quite spacious with a huge number of amenities, including free wi-fi. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Taipei.

Front desk personals were very kind and had good service provided except room maid service were very poor. 3 guests were staying in the room but the amenties provided only 2 guests. When I requested for another set of the amenties, either no respond or the room maid shown unhappy to serve. Broken glasses were found in the bathroom.

The TRPB room was very big and spacious. We were pleasantly surprised with the extra area in the room. The only thing that we think they can improve is their lobby. They should have some seats for people to wait around, The other thing would be the toilet. It could have been better. Other than that, it's pretty good.

Spacious room, but not necessarily for a solo traveller. Nearby street food is highly recommended. Will have to return to check out the area now that I have a pleasant experience coming from the airport.

Very good hotel in a good location centrally located in Taipei. There is a lot of road works and building going on around the hotel so be aware that if you want a sleep in get a room away from the road.
