Hotel 81 Palace Singapore

One of the cheapest hotel you can find in Singapore. Many restaurant around. Easy to get Taxi and Bus. Quite far from MRT station. 15 min walk. Will stay here in future if i come to Singapore.

Very pleasant just to spend one night in on a stopover from Australia. Near a Metro station

The price is reasonable and the room is well maintained, although the building is a bit old.

Friendly and helpful staff, convenient and clean. Fast cable connected internet. Very small room but that didn't bother me as I only use the room to sleep. The location is certainly seedy but interesting. A nice touch is the instant coffee and tea refilled daily. Shower had great pressure and hot water.

Great place to stay! Busses 2,51 and 80 take you straight to the city centre.

Its very convenience....bus stop just around the corner and it just takes about 10 mins to the MRT station. Room is not big but is enough for 2 people. Clean and tidy room. Service is ok for a budgeted hotel. Overall is good and recommended if you have a tight budget.

The place is accessible by bus or MRT. Quiet neighborhood, many places to eat cheap but delicious food. Service is good with courteous employees. And reasonably priced, too.

Overall, this hotel provides good value for your money. It is a simple hotel with minimum facilities, but if you just want to stay as a backpacker, you may consider this hotel. Cleanliness is good. Location is quite convenient, there are lots of hawker centers and it is 4 blocks away from MRT station (15 min walk).

Really liked this place... Apart from the lowlifes around the area, the hotel is clean and centrally located to everything. Area is fantastic with food and entertainment available to early hours. Will very happily stay there on next transit. For aussies, think Formula1 without the plastic.

Budget hotel, good for the price, in a cheapish area five-ten minutes walk from Aljunied station which takes you to Changi airport in about 20 minutes (change line, but only step out of the train and in the next line, on the same platform, so it is ok with luggage). Ticket costs S$2.60, refunded S$1. Breakfast was not included but lots of cheap eateries steps away. Small but adequate room. I was travelling alone for one night and with only one bag though. I will stay again if I need a cheap, basic hotel close to Changi.

Clean, neat rooms, tho` adequate but on the small side. No cupboard or much extra space - same for the bathroom. Compact but restful especially if you`re not spending much time in the room. Great location, all amenities are nearby. Good parking spaces.

As it is located in red ligth district. It's not recommaned fro family stay. For single is ok. Not very convenience when comes to going around for shopping and going to zoo or bird park.

Clean sheets and HBO for a good Sing price

Hotel room is bit small but location is convenient with shops, bus stand and MRT station within walking distance. Price is reasonable. Good for budget travellor to Singapore.

It seems a reasonable hotel talking about price and accessibility to public transportation. However, rooms are small and there is no way to have your break fast in the hotel. Internet connection is provided via a cable. If you have two laptops it is challenging to be connected at the same time. For the Internet they will charge you 10S$ for any time till 12PM. So, normally you will use it generally for less than 4-6 hours instead of 24 hours. It is better that they provide it for 24 hours from the time of request. All in all, the price of the hotel may make these disadvantages standable.

This hotel suited my needs as I only spent time there for sleeping. The sheets are changed everyday and it also has disposable pillow cases which I like very much. Aircon is cold but shower a little weak as I stayed on the top floor. I also like the fact that the floor is NOT carpeted. The price is very good with tea and coffee provided, the convenience of food all around. It is not suitable for families with young children as it is situated in the Geyland Red Light district area.

Room is very small, but free wireless in room is very convenient. Kettle for tea and coffee making provided and tea and coffee bags are renewed every day as well as two small bottles of mineralized water. We were on room 729 on the 7th floor and cannot complain about noise and door smashing. Conclusion: For the price it is good value in Singapore.

All of the Hotel 81 hotels that I have stayed at are uniformly good value, clean, friendly service and helpful staff. I will be staying there again soon.

The hotel was ok and the staff very nice and helpful, but there are prostitutes everywhere at night. Definately not a family hotel.
