Hotel 81 Rochor is centrally located within short walking distance from Sim Lim Square ( Electronic and computer Mall), Singapore National Library, Shaw Towers (shopping and cinema complex), Suntec City (Shopping and Convention hall), Raffles City (Shopping Mall). Catch performances by local and international acts at the Esplanade, Theatres on the Bay, which is located a mere 20-25 minutes away on foot. Fort Canning Park plays host to cultural and musical events throughout the year. And the shopping hubs of Orchard Road, City Hall, Bugis Junction and Marina Square are also within walking distance. Drinking holes and nightspots, such as the Mohammed Sultan stretch, Chjimes, Boat Quay and Clarke Quay can be reached by trains, buses, taxis or on foot. The new Singapore Management University and National Library are all within walking distance. Good location close to MRT (train station), staff were helpful and friendly. Room was small but everything you needed. Only down side was that the bed was very firm and mattress had vinyl cover which made for a very sweaty sleep.

not for the PVC 2 single beds put together as one double and it's unmatched-size sheets on top. too slippery. I thought it was a joke $110 a night.. room and hall is dark & sad. DVD player with tiny TV on the wall. shower is powerful yet lack of hot water. good reception stuff , also great location in Little India. there's huge construction banging noise from canal area now.

Good location. They allowed us to check in early since our flight arrived at 11am.. Very courteous and friendly receptionists.

The standard rooms are simply too small for travellers. The deluxe rooms are a better option. Staff very friendly and helpful, but we upgraded from a standard room to a deluxe after one night. This hotel should have Wi Fi, but doesn't. Great location for Little India and Bugis markets and the rail network. We will stay there next time in Singapore.

The location was excellent for us for sightseeing, walking to little India or shopping. Also cheap in a taxi to anywhere and back. Reasonable price for location, but no real frills. Compact and comfortable. Not for spending lots of time in. Satisfactory for the traveller on the go.

Good place for single & couples only. Pricing should be low but hotel location is extremely good, near Sim Lim Tower & Sim Lim Square. Will stay again when come to Singapore.

The hotel room was quite small and would only recommend to a couple for a overnight and not a long stay. The staff was not found to be courteous. Their was too much noise coming from outside the rooms.

Pverall, good value n just rite price n location for a budget hotel. Highly recommended for proximity to Bugis Station n Little India (10mins walk).

the location of the hotel is great, close to bugis street and to MRT staion. The front desk service was excellent. The only drawback is there is no view or real windows in the room.
