Hotel 81 Selegie Singapore

Good place to stay if on a budget. Handy to Little India subway station and various food outlets nearby. Pubilc laundry also nearby. Ten minite walk to Orchard Road. Staff friendly and helpful and bed made each day and bathroom cleaned to perfection. A few bugs popped out of the shower drain each day but a quick blast with the shower hose despatched them elsawhere. Small rooms which is OK since you only sleep there. Would recommend and will stay here next time.

Although the rooms in the hotel were small gthey were very clean and well kept. The staff here were of an excellent standard and very helpful. The hotel is situated close to all facilities and made it easy to enjoy Singapore. Would recommend this hotel.

Basic, clean and OK. Plastic mattress cover only drawback.

Very nice place to stay,only drawback is that room is extremely small,but the management kindly provided a place to store our bags.

Room very very small, not much floor space only the bed, however was clean and secure. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Free broadband internet with my laptop really worked although there was not really any where to put the computer apart from the bed. Convenient to walk to Little India and the Bugis and Bras Basah areas. Good price for a place to rest while stopping on the way from Australia to Europe.

Hotel Selegie, for the price, location and service it's very good. I recommend it to every tourist on a budget. Just a small room, for one person is not bad size. Location is great, walking distance to everwhere.

Rooms a quite small but generally clean. Location is good -walking distance from MRT and major Points of interest. (china town, little India etc). It was okay for the price. Would be nice to get some natural light into the room maybe use a roller blinds instead of fixed one. No refrigerator in the room but an icebox on each floor not a bad idea- singapore can get HOT!

If you go in with the right sort of expectation, Hotel 81 Selegie will suit you fine. The thing that gets most people is the size of the room; it IS tiny. That's their way, and helps keep prices down; I paid S$109. I'd not pay their posted normal rate, which is twice that - I could stay at the Rendezvous for less!

Although, a slightly smaller room, everything else was very good.

The hotel is a new so it is pretty clean and neat. The rooms are pretty small but if you looking this place just to sleep I will suggest this to you. it is very close to the little india mrt and near to the other market places. pretty close to some indian restaurants.

The price is good, the hotel is clean and simple. If just for one night and you want something secure and budget this is OK. On the down side the room is very small and the internet did not work. Overall fair value but not for more than one or two nights

The hotel is new, and comes with an LCD TV in the room, which is a nice touch. The room size is very small, comparable to the hotel rooms in Hong Kong. Location is suprisingly good once you know your way around the city. Generally the hotel prices in Singapore are felt to be overpriced. Taking all factors into consideration, I would not mind staying at this hotel again in future.
