Hotel 81 Tristar Singapore

This hotel is as good as most 4 stars hotel I've stayed in except it can do with a clean up. The lobby has the smell of an old premise and the room is dusty. The picture on the wall and the bedside lamps probably have not been cleaned in ages. The white coloured air cond looks black. Its a shame cause the room is cosy and spacious. The swimming pool is a big plus because my kid loved it. We drove, so location was not an issue. In fact I like how its close to the East Coast Park where we could rent a bike to cycle and take in the views. I probably wouldn't come back again because cleanliness is a big thing for me.

we enjoyed our stay at hotel 81 tristar, our room was so big for us and it is overlooking the main street, plus there is a swimming pool. we really enjoyed our stayed, the only problem we encountered is that the hotel is very far to the means of transportation especially MRT. there are many food store and stores in within the vicinity of the hotel 81 tristar, the staff are courteous, friendly and helpful.

Big size rooms compared to others in same area and the same price. Basic and simple rooms that are comfortable. Good eating next door to hotel as well as an all night shop for snacks and light meals. A short 15 minute walk to the MRT station put you in the shopping districts in no time. Sadly the staffs english is not very good, same as their service. Otherwise it is a good hotel, and I will stay again.

Clean and adequately equiped. Our family room was a bit tatty but huge. Free wifi and the pool was a welcome bonus. Loads of eateries nearby and convenient for the mrt. Would use again.

This is a surprisingly good hotel in a surprisingly interesting if often overlooked part of Singapore. Staff are pleasant and friendly and the double deluxe rooms are spacious and very clean. The area itself hosts many interesting and cheap eateries. I will certainly use this hotel again.

I stayed at this hotel as Iarrived late and left early next day and the room rate was good. The hotel was good enough although the suburb was dodgy.

Hotel 81 Tristar Singapore was very good value. Although it was quite basic the room was large and the reception staff were very friendly and cheerful. The hotel has 2 computers that are available for use at a reasonable rate. There is a 7/11 store at the entrance and if you're into "street food" there is ample. It is a comfortable 5-10 min walk to the MRT. Overall we were very happy with this budget hotel.

Recently stayed at Tristar 81.Upon checking in were given a room with King bed and one single when our booking was for Two King beds.Staff were helpful and got a foldaway bed for us.We also had a small problem with the lights not working which again the staff fixed promptly.We loved the location being right next to the Malay village.Having a pool to relax in at the end of a busy day was great too.

If you going for a short vacation the hotel is highly recommended. Price is reasonable. Location is 10 minutes walk from the nearest MRT station. There are lots of cheap but good quality hawker food outlets in the vicinity. I also like the swimming pool. They clean the room and change the beddings everyday.

They need to upgrade the cleanliness of the bathroom because it looked so dirty. The room is big and the location is great, i didn't worry to find place to eat because it located around many restaurants.

Good cheap hotel, good for short stays

Spent two weeks at this hotel and had no complaints, only praise...bed linen changed every day, floor swept and toilet cleaned,every day.Two bottles of water left in the room and coffee and tea bags every day and a fresh toothbrush and comb, for your convenience...It was so easy to get to 81 tristar from the airport by MRT, you get off at PARA / LABAR and walk to geylang rd. go left for two hundred yards, and you will find the hotel on ONAN RD. The pool was well maintained and a welcome sight after a day in the city..I enjoyed it so much that i am returning in the new year and i just cant wait....

The room was big and reasonably clean. The was strong smoke smell that came from airconditioner I guess - when I complained about it the guy at the reception said that all rooms are non-smoking. The pool is big and quite nice

Super hotel 81 better than most 81s as it used to be the tristar hotel so larger rooms and not many if any women hanging around at night unlike the hotels in Geylang staff excellent and the pool looks pretty good

no surprise with a cheap deal and you will get cheap stuffs ... however, i have a dead roach in my room and seems it die for few months without catching the eyes of the clearner. otherwise things are ok! good malay foods downstairs.
