Consumer Reviews and Rating

"Itīs a good-small hotel. Near beach. Good staff. The price for me itīs a little expensive, but itīs recommended." - Fernando Gagno

"Itīs a old hotel, but itīs very good. Clean, good service and a friendly staff. I only think that itīs too expensive. There are best options. But itīs recommended !!" - Mauricio Vleeschdrager

"The staff is very nice and accomodating. The valet service had my car ready exactly on time. The linens were crisp with a high thread count and the bed was made nice and tight. My two bad comments are that the room smelled a little smokey and the bathroom - while the finishes were up to date - appeared a little time worn and needed to be freshened up. My rave review is for the restaurant in the hotel - Johnny V. It was wonderful. Best dinner I've had in a long time. I had a great Argentinian Malbec to drink. The meal was mahi with lump crabmeat on top and a scallop emulsion cream sauce, hericot verts, and a type of hash brown potatoes with lump lobster meat. The bread was a nice focaccia with garlic and rosemary. The whole thing was scrumptious and the wait staff was very nice and accomodating. It's no fun dining alone when you are traveling for work. A great meal definitely makes up for it. I would definitely recommend the hotel. Thanks for the great value!" - leeanne Vogt

Hotel Information
Hotel Description:    Designed by architect T. Hunter Henderson in 1936 as a masterpiece of Art Deco luxury, the Astor Hotel continues to reign supreme - a bastion of luxury, modern design, & simple sophistication. Extensive renovations in 1997 & 2002 lend an updated twist to this Art Deco beauty, without compromising its architectural integrity. The hotel has maintained not only the original exterior facade of cut coral stone, but also its characteristic design features. Henderson was a prolific architect, responsible for a total of 29 properties throughout Miami Beach, nevertheless the Astor Hotel unarguably continues on as his piece de resistance. The Miami Design Preservation League has listed the Hotel Astor on the National Register of Historic Places , & it is likewise prominently featured in the Art Deco Historic & Architectural South Beach tour. The Striking lobby defines haute minimalism at its very best. It is a fine example of modern design elements perfectly at home in an Art Deco palace. Unique features such as: the original 1936 Vitrolite wall panels; & a vertical water sculpture featured in the garden area all seamlessly combine, ushering guests into an atmosphere of true style & contemporary elegance. The Astor Hotel is a favorite destination of celebrities, artists & fashion photographers, as well as business executives & discerning leisure travelers from around the world. Quite simply put: our guests are a cut above the rest, & so too is our staff and commitment to quality.
