"Hotel looked maybe a bit disappointing when we arrived - but is typical of this type of Hotel on the Island.However once inside the rooms were modern ,spacious and clean - probably one of the best rooms I have stayed in.Inside very clean and the staff very helpful. It is on the beach so ate breakfast on my birthday overlooking the sea watching the little sailboats go by! Perfect. Spa great and beach private so can just let the world go by in peace.Would recommend a sea room - the ones overlooking the vines also overlook the carpark! Also there aren't any other restuarants close by only the hotel one so if stayig for more than one night or want a change be prepared to drive 5 or 10 minutes. The Ile de Re is fantastic - one of the nicest places we have visited." - julie hill


"Not for those that want glitz aand nightlife, but for those that want a quiet and peaceful holiday it is idyllic. It is located on the beach outside the rural village of St Marie de Re. Even in the middle of July with good weather, the beach had hardly anyone on it. The restaurant is classified as gastrinomique and the foie gras is to be recommended. The service is friendly and efficient, the only facility I missed was a kettle in the room. Altogether an enjoyable experience." - Andrew CHILCOTT
