The location is very good in regards to price. A lot of value for money cafes about 50m away, including a fruit juice and health bar. Bus to Orchard road outside the door, Doctor.s surgery 30 m away if you happen to need one. Quiet room, would like a few more channels on the TV

Good quality hotel in a good location - reasonably easy walk to 2 MRT stations (ie flat and safe) even with wheelie suitcase. Room had good facilities, a reasonable size tho not large (many much smaller). Even tho not super modern still a good feel to it. The pool was nice! Brekky is slightly odd on the sidewalk cafe - but nice when you get the idea!

The room was good and also location but 1 thing that needs to improve is the service at front desk. The 2 girls dont even smile or greet you while checking in and also very rude. althogh this is considered budget in the heart of town we are still guest and deserve to be treated like one. Customer service really needs improvement.

Nice place for a quick stay. Very centrally located, near to bus stops, MRT stations, and shopping complexes. 7-11 just across the road.

Excellent all round. Friendly, polite and helpful staff who wanted to ensure that everything was right. We arrived at 6:30 am after a 19 hour flight and they were so obliging and we were checked in immediately. Great location too.

Hotel was clean. The room, however, was a bit small considering that it is called a Solomon King Room. We had a King sized bed though. Staff were helpful. Only problem was the noise outside where there was an ongoing demolition across our hotel and breakfast was served al fresco at the hotel entrance. Overall, it has a good location. Near orchard road and MRT station. Would be better if rates would be more competitive. A bit pricey considering it is not new anymore but place is well maintained.

The hotel was good value for a Singapore price range. Big bed, clean room everyday, great little spa pool and gym. Front desk staff weren't overly enthusiastic but no complaints really. The location is close to Orchard Road but quite a walk from the happening part. Internet in room for $12 for 24 hours but make sure you log on straight away - I lost a 24 hr purchase by leaving it a few hours before logging on without refund. All in all a good value hotel.

Best thing is the location to Raffles Mall area 15min walk. Pricing for what you get is ok for Singapore. The room I had was quiet and the bathroom had been newly renovated. Rooms are very small but ok for a night or two. Aircon in room was fine. Breakfast is a bit of an issue on the footpath, but you can use the nightclub they own next door with aircon. Breakfast staff have poor English and western food often runs out (eg bread). Overall satisfactory for a short stay.

The room was small but quite comfortable enough for us. The room safe handy, and bathroom had plenty of hot water. No room service (food) was a minus. But location was OK for me - a few minutes from restaurants, 7 Eleven, MRT, museum and malls, but my son would have liked to have been more central to Orchard Rd.

I loved every minute of my stay here! Hotel attendants are the friendliest ever! Will definitely book in this hotel again! =) Thanks Bencoolen Hotel!

Good location, breakfast served on the open air near the lobby, smart-home-like but SMALL rooms. in general good hotel.

This hotel is clean. Location is near to MRT. Easy to find all kinds of food.

Convenient location, a short walk away from the MRT station. Nice plunge pool / jaccuzi, although we didn't use it. Plenty of places to eat in the vicinity, and close to the Cathay multiplex if you want a air conditioned evening to cool down. Able to leave baggage all day on our departure (we had a midnight flight).

Hotel location was totally awesome. The hotel staffs was very friendly. I really love staying there.

helpful staff, especially the concierge! r room was acceptable. TV only few channels in English breakfast is served outside at the entrance - not really used to it, especially considering the hotel is in a quite busy road
