Hotel Berlin, Berlin

Comfortable and very priceworth. Good situation ,very near to bus 100 and M29. Large, good breakfast to a overcoming price. The room is big enough and clean.

The hotel is very good for the price (that's in November though). Everything works fine. A bit away from the Center of Berlin itself but if the U-bahn works properly, it's OK. The breakfast though is extremely overpriced at 21 Euros per person. The choice is not great and the coffee is just awful.

The hotel is situated a couple of minutes walk from the Nollendorfplatz U-Station which makes it an excellent base for exploring anywhere in Berlin and the surrounding area. We made great use of the public transport system whilst in Berlin this time and it really is an excellent way to explore. It only took about 15 minutes to get from the hotel to the main Zoo interchange from where you can get trains to almost anywhere. The transport system is efficient and very cheap. This was the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, they even checked our train times online for us when there were disruptions due to railway maintainence. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Wifi was available free of charge. The literature stated that there was a charge after 30 minutes but we didn't find this to be the case. A number of English channels were available on the TV in the room. Be sure to contact the hotel beforehand and ask for a non smoking room if you want one. They will be happy to give you one but don't seem to automatically allocate you one when you request one at the time of booking. On our first trip, we had requested one but the room stank. This time, I contacted them in advance and the room was excellent. We didn't eat in the hotel,as there are lots of great restaurants within walking distance - we found a brilliant sushi restaurant which was excellent value for money and had a very extensive menu. We had such a great time, we are already planning our next trip and will hopefully be staying at this hotel again.

This is an outstanding place to stay in Berlin. Very close to the main shopping area and close to the Historical area as well.

The hotel is well located on bus and tour routes and provides comfortable accommodation at a reasonable rate. We will stay there again.

Modern and stylish, up to a point; attentive service; spacious & well equipped room

Strengths: awesome location, friendliness of staff, air con, quietness of room, entertainment centre in room, soft towels, security of guests, free upgrade. Weaknesses: lack of info on parking costs on website.

Modern, funky reception and bar area. My room on 5th floor was older style decor but absolutely enormous and perfectly satisfactory. Breakfast was very good with a huge selection. Would definitely use again.

The price of using the internet is very expensive! 4 Euro for 15 min! outside we paid 1 Euro for 30 min! It's very basic in this days to allow free wi-fi in hotels. Besides, the reception workers were very nice. Thank you

A very stily peaceful atmosphare,but too costy breakfast and drinks in the bar and the internet should be for free nowadays.Recommendable absolutely though.

The hotel is fairly conveniently located close to a U-Bahn station, quality restaurants and shops. For a reasonable price we had a large, modern, well-equipped, comfortable room.

Bit of confusion over double bed - two singles pushed together. Service pretty good but a bit impersonal. Hotel and breakfast of high quality. Convenient to Ku'dam, bit far away from old "East". Very close to U=bahn station.

This is the second time we stayed at Hotel Berlin. It is a very large somewhat impersonal hotel but that is not a problem. There are often large travel groups or business meetings going on. BUT the rooms are terrific and quiet. Others comment on the use of liquid soap containers in the bathrooms but this is fine. The TV is amazing with its number of English channels. The location is perfect with a 100 bus (goes all over) with 100meters and the Ubhan about 2 blocks away. The breakfasts were excellent but not included. The hotel staff was fantastic. No downside to this hotel. I would stay again and plan to do so!!!

We stay in TRPL room with our child 30Dec-01Jan. All was great, but our non-smoking room has smoke smelt and free WiFi internet was only 64Kbs speed!

Very nice hotel, clean rooms, and funky decor. Closely located to a transit stop and within a 15 minute walk of Zoo station (subway). Overall this was a very good stay. My only slight complaint was that we did have to walk a bit of distance to find restaurants - not too far, mind you (5-10 minutes), but there really is not a lot of shops, cafes, or restaurants located in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
