The service and friendliness were outstanding and made our stay a very enjoyable one. When in the area we definitely will come back to this hotel and advice friends to do so as well.

The hotel room was very pleasantly decorated in a modern style and was generally spacious and comfortable, although the bathroom was a little small. The location is a very short walk from the centre of town, but not so close that it is noisy. We did not use the pool - it seemed quite small and was located quite near to the road, so not v.tranquil, but not sure there was much of an alternative, given the location. My guidebook stated that there was a gymnasium on site, which there was not. Overall, a very good stay and would reccomend the hotel to others.

Pleasant, helpful staff. We arrived early for check-in and were given a room upgrade as our room was not ready. Would recommend this hotel.

Great hotel for a few nights stay, good location a few blocks from the main restaurant area. We did not eat at the restaurant but it looked like it was well set up and the menu was good.

I liked this hotel from the moment I walked in - it has charm - and I was not disappointed; the staff are friendly and the rooms are attractive with long balconies to sit and talk or smoke. Free from street noises. The restaurant is very good but pricey, still there is a wide range of restaurants one street away on the Esplanade. I enjoyed my stay and would come again.

This hotel looks grander from it's photos, having said that it's close to the centre of Cairns for shops and restaurants. Our room overlooked the main road and roundabout which was a bit noisey. The bedroom is OK, bathroom needs updating though, depending on your expectations. Staff were helpful and polite. I would probably stay again but realise it's not quite the colonial splendor as I had hoped for.
