The location of HOTEL CATALONIA GAUDÍ could not be better: Madrid's Gran Vía at the intersection of Alcalá Street, a few metres from the Plaza Cibeles and Puerta del Sol. All of Madrid's main attractions are in walking distance from the Museum golden triangle to the Congreso de los Diputados to the "tapas" bars, etc. The remains of the building date from the beginning of the century, although it opened as a hotel only a few years ago. It was renovated in 2000 and still has the original neoplateresque façade of 1917. In the "La Pedrera" restaurant, our clients can sample excellent Catalonian and international dishes. The hotel also has a coffee-bar, meeting, convention and banquet rooms. The hotel also has other facilities and services such as a fitness centre with a gym, a sauna and a jacuzzi free of charge as well as free Wi-Fi internet access in rooms and public areas of the hotel.

Getting there:Barajas Airport: 12 km. Underground (Gran Vía): 200 mts AVE (high Speed train) is located by Atocha station, just 1.7 Km from the hotel; it just takes eight minutes by taxi or 20 minutes if you decide to make a walk.

Great location.. Three minutes walk to the centre of the restaurants and nightlife of madrid but still far enough away so its not noisey at all hours of the night.
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Great location, approx 30 Euros to international airport. Easy walking distance to many restaurants, shops etc. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Hotel A. Gaudi offers 160 double rooms with double or twin beds, some with a balcony. Each are equipped with satellite TV, ambient music, direct dial telephone, mini-bar, air conditioning, safe box, WI FI, and and a marble bathroom.
They turned of the Air conditioning whenthey cleaned.I understand it from an energy point of wiew of saving but for me as a guest it was quiet unconvenient.
Apart from the fact that the hotel is advertised as having air conditioning and they don't put it on it was fine. The breakfast was 2nd to none. If you get a room at the front it is noisey all day and night. the rooms are triple glazed but 6 lanes of traffic noise comes through. Staff were very good all round most speaking a little English. Ideal location for seeing everything that Madrid has to offer and that is plenty.
Super friendly & accomodating staff. Central location in safe locale without much noise; local shops, restaurants, etc. Airy rooms with fluffy towels and good cleanlines.
The rooms were stuffy, the service poor and unsympathetic and the noise levels, rooms themselves and general attitude of the staff very poor.
Service at reception can be improved. Good priced hotel centrally located in Madrid. close to Gran Via station.
Very Nice Hotel in Madrid down town. An issue met with the laundry but solved by the director. after several hotel tested in Madrid, my final choice goes to this one. Very nice welcome at the arrival also

Very nice stay at this 4 star hotel really very well located in the center of Madrid and everu touristic place is near by walking few minutes. I paid 59 euro with rates to Go which is a really good value for money. All the additionnal services are very expensive as the breakfast at 15 euros. I recommend to stay there but with a discounted price
Good hotel, but no cleaning for 3 days which we were in it. Placement is best and all other was good.

Good central location with decent size and high standard room. Reception staff spoke good English. Across the road Vitamina is great value for breakfasts (3-4 Euros for toasted sandwiches or bacon and eggs plus tea or coffee) if not included

Good location, nicely renovated, however to use a safe one is to pay nearly 5 euros a night. It should be free as it is in many other hotels, especially that it is not a cheap hotel.

Overall good value. Rooms are a good size and clean to a good standard. Staff very helpful. Location about 10 mins walk from the main centre and close to the Metro.
