Hotel Causeway Melbourne

The Hotel Causeway Little Collins Street has always been one of the places I have thought about staying in but worried about the noise issue. No need to worry about that, I was pleasantly surprised about how quiet it was. We were located on level two which is where breakfast was served and I was never disturbed by the kitchen noise either. This is a great little place, central to everything and excellent for popping back in for a mid shopping trip bag drop. I would definetely stay here again if I got a similiar good price deal.

Room for 3 persons (ladies) was booked. However I cancelled one person. If the third had attended that room floor area could not have accomodated a fold-up bed, and for the price I paid, we would have expected a superior bed. The spa is dangerous for older persons. Needs a handrail for safety. Quiet location appreciated for sleeping.

My luxury stay in the city for the weekend was marred by a very noisy lift right next to the room. Moving to another room further away helped but didn't completely solve the problem. Facilities were okay but not the luxury I was looking for.

Well situated for our stay. Great location to go off shopping and eating. Didn't expect Ritz, but it was comfortable and that was the main things. Room quite reasonably sized. For a shopping trip, short holiday and base to do things like theatre in the city, we'd come again, certainly. Lovely to receive complimentary chocolates and apples and water.

The location is very convenient to transport, shops and most attractions, and the hotel is pleasant and quiet in spite of being so close to busy streets. Breakfast is enjoyable and service very pleasing. The room was always promptly and scrupulously cleaned. This was our second stay, and I look forward to staying there again.

Clean and comfortable twin room. Reasonably quiet even though next to breakfast dining room. Pleasant staff - Shaun was very helpful. Great location. The only problem seems to be transport, the Skybus airport shuttle bus driver didn't want to drop us off in the Little Collins St lane....and gave us some excuse about mini buses not being able to go down that street (my advice is use the Starbus company...much better service). Also was some problem with getting a taxi there too, but that could just be coincidental.

The Hotel was really nice, great location - close to good coffee - the breakfast (included in room rate) and shower were both really good, we'd go back!

We booked the hotel for two nights. On our last night we asked the reception if it would be possible to have a late checkout in the morning. The person at the reception told us that it would be ok for us to checkout at 12 midday. The next morning at 11 am, we got a call from reception to ask us that did we know that checkout was 10 am. When we explained, we were told that they are very busy and we should not have been given the late checkout, that instead could we leave at 11.30. But they then also added, since it was their mistake, we could stay till midday. At 11.30 the cleaner knocked on our door and asked if we were ready to leave despite having a do not disturb sign on our door. We have stayed in many hotels and had late checkouts but never experienced something like this. Apart from this, the hotel was great and would stay there again.

Excellent location - right on Little Collins St with a fantastic little cafe next door. Parking is a little walk away but provided at a very reasonable cost. The included breakfast is OK but with so many cafes to choose from, we only ate in the hotel once. Will definitely be staying here next trip to Melbourne.

Great Hotel hideway in the heart of the city, close to so many amenities and reasonably priced, would definitely stay again. The continental breakfast was fabulous and a great inclusion

The cafe downstairs is excellent! Coffee is brilliant and the dinner menu is outstanding. The rooms are clean tidy very presentable after the renovation. Gym is good size.

The warm welcome was excellent. I received free newspaper the day I arrived as well as the morning I checked out.I also received an upgrade even though there had been some problem with my booking on line and I was never made to feel this was my problem! Thanks!
