Great modern and elegant spa hotel. We stayed one night and our room had a seaview which we did not expect. We would recommend the hotel for short and long stay .We had a car and drove to the centre but we were told that there was a bus service connecting the hotel with the city center. Would stay there again.
good facilities, although did not get to use the swimming pool or outside hot tub. Looked very inviting though!
i have stayed at the clybaun Hotel 3 times in the last year with young children it is a lovely hotel and the staff are more than accomodating i would reccomend it thoroughly
Hotel room is good and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Facilities in hotel was excellent but you have to pay for internet which is ridiculous. Slightly outside the city centre if you plan to spend most time in city centre. Noisy from traffic early mornings in the rooms facing the main road across the hotel. Overall 8/10
Overall I would recomend the Clydbaun. I just found the reception and lift areas a little shabby
A very enjoyable stay. Very friendly staff. Would stay again.
Very nice stay, will be back again for sure :)
Although not in the heart of Galway City, there is a regular City bus service close to the entrance and it is about a ten minute drive to the city centre. Room was spacious and well maintained - would stay there again.
Very satisfied with this hotel, it was clean and comfortable, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the bar was excellent.
The pool is closed for children under 16 after 6 pm every day except Friday and weekends when it is closed a bit later (7 pm or so). No room service available.
I found the hotel to be first class good food and friendly staff.
excellent hotel friendly staff food in restaurant excellent and very well priced
This Hotel was very good. Great location and friendly staff
have stayed at the Clybaun 6 times in the last year we have just purchased a property in southern ireland and will be staying at the Clybaun once more before we move. Staff are very friendly and helpful, If you want to get the bus to Galway it leaves just outside the hotel. When people come to visit I will go to the Clybaun for the carver lunch or the bar food in the evenings.
The only fault I could find with this hotel was there was no shampoo left in the bottle in the shower. We asked the cleaning lady when we were going down to the pool if she could leave some there but she only left bath gel.
We have stayed at the Clybaun 5 times this year and have always found the staff friendly and helpful. Have eaten in the bar lots of times and food has been very good. Will be staying there in November for the last time as we have just bought a property in Galway. Thanks to all the staff in the Clybaun.
Surly chef. On my first morning, after he had to be brought out of the kitchen to serve me, when I asked him what was the choice for the cooked breakfast he informed me - 'same as yesterday'. Second morning he looked at me from the kitchen and carried on opening potatoes. The Restaurant Manager had to serve me. A very pleasant, helpful young man who also served me with dinner the two nights I used the restaurant and was very welcoming. Poor bathroom facilities - no bath gel and impossible to reach the 'body shampoo' when sitting in the bath as it was fixed to the wall at a height of 5 feet+. Just as well I had my own!! I have never seen soap fixed to the wall in any hotel I have stayed. Hotel difficult to find - needs some signposts out of Salthill and a better map.
We stayed here recently on a weekend trip to Galway - excellent hotel but quite hard to find! Would definitely stay here again, very friendly staff and great facilities.
We have now stayed at the Clybaun twice, as we are looking for property in Ireland we will be over there every month or so and will stay at the Clybaun each time. Have stayed at different Hotels in Galway but the Staff at the Clybaun are so helpful and friendly It makes staying there a pleasure. Food in Bar is also very good, not tried the Bistro yet! but still time. Breakfast is buffett style just make sure you ask for your toast well done! or you will get hot bread. Apart from that cannot complain
We stayed at the Clybaun thourghly enjoyed our visit, as we are looking to buy property in Ireland we will be going back in June. Staff are very friendly, location not bad at all, overall will stay there again. Food in the bar was very good, breakfast was buffett which suited us. Didn't get to try the bistro for the evening as we already had so much to eat through the day, but hopefully next time,
