Hotel Deutsches Theater Munich Guest Reviews

4 out of 5

A simple and confortable hotel, very convenient and quiet. The breakfast is very generous.

4 out of 5

Only 2 blocks to central station, this is a plus, but also closed to the red light district. Room is medium size, very simple display, I feel upset when I first saw it, but later on I feel OK.. However, you don't need extra sofa, coffee table, right? There is only a big bed (combine with 2 single beds), night stand, TV (on the desk), that's it! The bed is comfortable to me, not too soft or too high, with down cover. The bathroom is remodeled with glass door shower. The room has more space than American's since hotel in US put too many unnecessary items in the room. The best thing for this hotel is the breakfast! If you eat outside like this menu you will spend at least 20 euro or more! With different ham, cold cheese, fried egg with bacon, cereal, bread, juice, famous Munich white sausage, they also have smoke salmon! It's good to have breakfast (7 to 10am)in the hotel then walk to the central station to join the tour (usuallystart at 9:30am) or take S-train. I will suggest you to put some tips on the table (though I did not see any people from local did that) but just for appreciation for the hard working people in the kitchen! I will miss the breakfast and come back!

Good location with plenty of choice for breakfast. Internet available in room would be better - however it was still easy to access in the lobby

This hotel is very well located, well run, the staff are friendly, and close to everything you would need in Munich (Munchen). The receptionist is knowledgeable and had great recommendations for eating, sightseeing and shopping. We highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

A handy location, however the web site information makes it sound like a Bavarian dream! Quite expensive for what it is.

It says in the lobby that you have access to WIFI. However, that was only very sporadic with the signal fading in and out. Other than that a very positive experience! MS Tromsoe, Norway

This hotel is good. Location and service are fine. But cleanless must be better.

Rooms are large and the breakfast has wide selection and good quality of food, except that the coffee is terrible and cooked food is very salty. Agree with other guest that hotel is over-rated at 4 stars. Has five floors but two person lift only goes to fourth floor and rooms are not air conditioned. Pillows are poor as stated by other guest, but it does offer good value for the location.

The person working at the desk was great. Very good location, ie close to Marienplatz and surrounding area. Room was nice, although the street side can be a little noisy. Bathrooms were very nice. Beds comfortable. Very pleased with our stay there and would stay there again.

Very polite staff and free internet access in the lobby. Very quiet room and very quaint location. The little courtyard would be lovely to sit out in Summer.

Very convenient hotel. We were 2 adults + 2 children, and they had organised the room very nicely. Breakfast was above average.

We were very pleased with this hotel. You can walk to it from the Central Station in about ten minutes. You can also walk to the opera house in under half an hour, taking in some of the main tourist locations on the way. The room was excellent. The receptionist spoke excellent English and was very helpful in assisting us to plan our itinerary. He spent a considerable time finding out detailed information for us. The only suggestion I have is that the Hotel could publish on its website directions stating *exactly* how to reach it from the Central Station. You have to exit the station in the right direction (obviously) and then take various underpasses to cross busy streets. The ten minues mentioned above assumes you know how to do this, which we did... on the way back.
