5 out of 5

This has to be the closest hotel to the train station in Bordeaux. Great for that one night stay. Tram to centre of the city outside train station. As is the bus to the airport (no train). Staff excellent with very good English. Internet in foyer.

4.4 out of 5

We found the hotel clean and appropriately priced. What really stood out was the excellent service we received from the reception staff. We highly recommend this hotel.

The first thing that this hotel has going for it is location: right across the road from St Jean railway station. But it has a few more: the rooms , while not particularly spacious, are clean and well presented, the beds comfortable, the en suite clean and the supply of hot water plentiful. Reception are cheerful and helpful with good English. The hotel offers a range of other services including WiFi and baggage storage. Continental breakfast has plenty of variety and is well presented. Recommended.

I am most impressed by the helpfulness and friendliness of the receptionists. The toilet was too small.

Nice hotel! Just in front of St. Jean Railway station, very convenient. You can easily take the tram to city, around 15 mins then you are in the central. The receptions are very friendly and helpful. Bathroom door is the only thing i don't like - transparent, not private enough!!

Great location immediately across the road from the railway station. Lovely receptionists who were very helpful and never treated us like we were asking dumb questions which we probably were.

There was no air-conditioning in my hotel room. The overhead fan was extremely loud when trying to sleep. Therefore the room was hot and stuffy. Opening the window was not an option as the hotel backs onto a main city area.

A delightful hotel in an excellent, most convenient location. The staff were extremely helpful. We will return.

Twin room very tight on space and the bathroom was about a metre wide with a sliding door, glass panel in it and no lock. (Raises privacy issues.) Double glazed French doors to balcony were amazingly effective at keeping noise of main station, trams and a building site out. Room design very attractive and modern. Excellent breakfast on second floor in clean and bright restaurant. Spanish recptionist (English-speaking) was ultra helpful and drew out a walking tour of the city on a large map she provided free. Ideal for rail users with super-modern tram link to city centre (or walk there in 20-30 minutes.)

good double glazing gives adequate protection from the area of the train station.Decent modern rooms but the bathrooms are not suited to the guests with large frames

Right opposite station with several restaurants adjacent, as was the tram to all city locations; thoroughly enjoyed stay

A traditional city hotel centrally located near the railway station. Very obliging staff and a good breakfast. The modern tram stop outside the door is excellent for getting about. There is no need for a car. The drains smelt outside the hotel which was where there were 4 restaurants with pavement dining. This is a great shame as this was convenient for meals but too unpleasant to use. This was probably better out of season. The reception staff smoked on duty and that was unpleasant but there was no smoking in the breakfast room.

Typical French two star. No AC, no ice, shower leaks on to floor. Shower too small to pick up soap without stepping out.

the fans are a bit dusty from years of condensation, but the price is reasonable, and the hotel is super close to the station which is great for ones who arrive early and leave late. Don't expect more than basic amenities. the hotel receptionists are super friendly and very helpful.
