Hotel D'urville Blenheim

A beautiful boutique hotel in the main shopping area. Although no "big hotel facilities" like gym or pool we had a lovely stay.

Interesting ,quirky room and very comfortable bed. Meal very disappointing; dishes did not always match their description and not cooked to the high standard to be expected from their premium price.

The themed rooms are well done. The staff are excellent. The restaurant is worth visiting as it award winning. The continental breakfast is also adequate and excellent.

Fantastic facility. Right in the heart of town. Fantastic deal here. Would certainly recommend to others.

The theme rooms at this hotel are fantastic and the the manner in which this old building has been restored as a hotel has to be commended. While we loved our room it could use double galzing on the windows to help reduce outside noise, so if you are intending on staying here, try and get a back room. We can recommend this hotel as somewhere to stay but must honestly say we had warmer greetings while in New Zeland.

Whether relaxing on the chaise lounge wih a complimentary port, or enjoying fine dining in the award winning restaurant, Hotel D'Urville has the experiences to make a stay in Blenheim truly memorable. Its a first rate spot. We loved it.

Excellent from start to finish, Hosts great, restaurant great, great location in a charming town and the decor was truly charming.

Cool Hotel in a good handy location. We were very happy with our room which had lots of character but unlike some hotels in old buildings everything worked and was very clean. Friendly helpful staff too!

Best place in a pretty charmless town. Service was excellent until the staff completely disappeared from Sunday afternoon till Monday morning.

Great place to stay. V cool setting in the old bank building making great use of the building itself, eg keeping the vault doors as part of the design. Loved the room.

We had a great room! They're all themed and ours was like a ship's cabin - complete with a porthole in the bathroon door!

This eleven room hotel has amazing themed rooms. It is a refreshing break from the standard, unimaginative decor that most accommodation offers. We really felt more like we were guests in a stately home than merely hotel patrons. The food, service and attention to detail is superb. The thoughtful refurbishment of the old bank building is worthy of the highest praise. We can thoroughly recommend this hotel to others who are looking for a quality, intimate hotel experience.
