Hotel Elegant Montreal

Pros: - close to everything (subway, stores, restaurants, greyhound, downtown, even library and movie theaters) - clean, quiet, non-smoking rooms; - a small fridge, TV, hair dryer, a phone; Cons: - no coffee machine (I was dying to get my tea in the morning before actually going out); - they didn't promote complimentary continental breakfast (8-10am), so I found out about it only on the last day of staying. But since it was just tea/coffee and bagels, it didn't really matter; - no digital clock in the room, so I had to use my phone to look up the time. Pretty inconvenient indoors; - they were making some minor repairments during my stay, but it didn't bother me much.

Breakfast was unexpected. The staff is friendly.

You get what you pay for....

I had a hard time to find this hotel at first, but it's only my preparation problem. Once my group got there, everythings worked well. The room was pretty big and clean. Very comfy location and convenient. Only few blocks away from commercial area. Internet works well, staff helps a lot. Parking is a block away, but really safe. For a price like that, it is worth. I'll definitely go back if I ever visit Montreal again.

Though this hotel is cheap, the rooms are small and has bad lighting. There is no maid service, fresh towels are left in a bag outside your room daily (if you are out when they are delivering). Parking is not included. The front desk will direct you to park under a library around the block, however parking is underground and secure. Great if you only plan to sleep in the room.

a good hotel if you are on a budget. nice and bilingual staff, clean and quiet room. everything you expect from a hotel. i especially enjoyed the blow dryer in the bathrooms, really powerful! one drawback only ; even though the whole hotel is non-smoking, 2 ladies staying in the room next to ours kept smoking, and we could smell it from our room...We thought it was kind of gross! They should strengthened their non-smoking policy.

Comfortable, basic hotel with several recent upgrades.

Everything in this place is new; it's clean and it intimate.

Excellent hotel for the price! Very clean and walking distance from a LOT of clubs, restaurants etc. Parking is a little odd but other than that I'd recommend it; especially for the price for what you get.

its a good hotel to stay,its worth stayin,its a block fron st cathrine street.the only thing i didnt like is that u can hear when someone is using the bathroom u just hear this loud noise. but over all i would stay there again!!!!!!!!!!!!

Small rooms, the floor is quite dirty. But bed etc. is clean and thats enough for sleeping. The price is good for that location.

Continental breakfast was muffins and croissants served by a very cranky lady who made sure you didn't take more than one! The room was small and cold, and there was no convenient parking.

Very good for the price. Staff were helpful. Location was great - right around the corner from the main Metro station and walking distance to everywhere in Montreal. Would stay again.

Recently built clean and affordable place. Recommended for anyone travelling on a budget.

ideally situated for the novice traveller.

The Hotel is clean, newly renovated and with in walking distance to Bus Terminal, Latin Quarter, China Town and Old Montreal. Parking is also provided at $7.00 a night on the next street below the library, all in all we would definitely return to this hotel.

great location near the metro station and free weekend parking which made for a perfect trip into the city - would definitely do it again!

If I have to go back to Montreal I would stay in this hotel again.

This hotel is very clean and the price is the second lowest one that I can find on the internet. Note that the standard queen room is quite small but the two bedroom seems to be much larger.

We really enjoyed the proximity to the funky area of St Denis Street. The service at the hotel was very good as well
