Need not walk far to enjoy shopping and historical values. Good for family as well.

Good hotel with free use of Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. big and clean swimming pool. Shopping centre is only a stone's throw away

The location is simply excellent. It is just beside the megamall which is also linked to 2 other malls nearby. I stayed at the Equator Club Room which was very nice and spacious. As it's the Club Room, it comes with exclusive privileges and personalized services in cluding evening pre-dinner cocktail at the Club Lounge which has a nice spread.

We loved our stay in the Equatorial. Within walking distance to the center of the city. I will recommend this hotel to my friends.

The location is very convenient, in the heart of the shopping mall. The Premier room is very spacious and clean. The corridor from the lift landing on the 17th floor to the room is also very clean.

Fantastic service. I was there when the President of Sweden(?) was there. The road leading to the hotel was jammed and it was a disaster. Police had blocked the hotel entrance. I was driving with 2 young children in the back seat, one 4 years old, the other 14 months old! We have been driving for 3 hours and the children were hungry and cranky. I drove in through the exit and the guard immediately came. But seeing that I was with 2 young children, quickly arranged for the valet parking staff to come so that I could leave my car with them, check in and bring my two hungry children up to the room. The checking in was fast and efficient, and the room service was excellent. I would go again just for the service which they extended.

My husband and I are generally pleased with our 1 night stay at the hotel. The only thing that we were upset with was that we were given a room that is right next to the renovation area. The noise from the renovation was so near, it's probably just right next to our room. This is disappointing. We stayed on a weekday and it's not even school holiday yet, and we do believe that there would be other rooms available. The hotel should have shown more consideration towards their guests, even if they were just staying for 1 night.

Location: Good. Just NEXT to the Megamall. Gym: Closes at 11pm - which is good.

Location is very good; within walking distance to shopping mall and jonker street. Do not expect incomplete toiletries from a 5 star hotel as toothbrush and comb are given upon request.

Balcony not very clean, might have overlooked this small area. Should improve the cleanliness of balcony. Swimming pool is quite dirty too.

We arrived at 11am and our room was ready even though check-in time was 2pm. The reception staff were friendly. The room was newly-renovated and very pleasant. We requested for a 2pm check-out and it was not a problem at all. The buffet dinner and breakfast were both good. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malacca.

The hotel is well located - in close proximity to Dataran Pahlawan and Mahkota Parade. As I checked in after 6 pm, all the rooms at the higher level were not available. As such, didn't catch a good view of the town. Being on the 7th floor, we could hear the traffic noise even in wee hour of the morning. Overall, the staff are friendly and efficient. It would be good if they can bundle in breakfast for the price paid for.

Hotel is in great location, within walking distance to the great shopping malls and lots of restaurants including several famous one in vicinity. Hotel is very old, the air conditioning was not working well. Hotel is currently undergoing some renovation.

One of the well established hotel and with a very soft toilet flushing system. Good for spouse who has frequent night toilet visits. But beware of the heavy traffic when walking to the Makohta Square, no traffic lights and plentiful of trishaws, motorcycles.

I booked the premier room. A bit pricey, but newly renovated. Love the decor and the thick carpet! Make sure you get one with daybed. Premier Rooms with daybed faces the sea, nice view!
