Good location with proximity to the tram stop, with around 3-4 minutes walk. a lot of restaurants in surrounding areas with Turkish cuisines. If you want to go to the Blue Mosque/St. Sophia Church area, it is only 1 tram stop to go and you can arrive there in a few minutes. Going to new city area is on opposite direction and it just takes 2-3 stops and then you will reach the tram stop on the other side of the bridge to allow you take the uphill tram(another location just 2 minutes walk on left side after departing). to the Main Street that has a lot of shops Price of this hotel is competitive with breakfast with many choices, esp. compared to those with a bit over-priced ones near Blue Mosque/St. Sophia Church area.
We stayed here twice, the second time they kindly upgraded us but both rooms were clean, well serviced, and good facilities. Our upgraded room was fantastic being much larger but that is understandable. The staff were exceptional, from the housemaids to reception. Breakfast was a bit slow in coming out and perhaps not a big selection of hot food but adequate. Dinner on the roof was very good and the view was memorable. Location is excellent, you can walk to most tourist destinations and the tram is also close by.
We have stayed here twice in the last few weeks and would do so again. Staff friendly and helpful, even got an upgrade on the second visit. The food is good, breakfast a bit slow in coming out, dinner and drinks on the roof top were excellent, the view is fantastic! Easy walking distance to everything and staff are happy to make arrangements for you.
Very nice hotel with an excellent restaurant. Maybe i would say the room was a bit small, but it was really cheap too, so i can't complain. I will definitely go back there if i travel to Istanbul again.
Quite well located, very nice restaurant on the last floor with a great view of the Bosphorus. Room on the small side but ok for a couple of nights. Would recommend it.
Not a plush hotel as such but for price very good value and superbly located (dont think it could be better located?). Helpful staff and very good breakfast. Rooms small-ish but again reflected in price and is a city centre hotel. Rooms double glazed so street noise is at a minimum. Only fault I could find is that I found the beds very firm and aircon a bit noisey.
We had a wonderful, pleasant and memorable stay. The staff were particularly friendly, cooperative and helpful. The service of the staff was highly commendable. Great breakfast. Hotel centrally located - easy to walk to various tourist sites and bazaars and eating places.
This hotel did what it said on the tin. Excellent central location, small clean rooms, classic plumbing i.e. the shower leaked a bit, but so what? Breakfast was OK, staff friendly and helpful. For the price I cannot fault it. Ideal for a short city break when the only reason to be in the hotel is to sleep.
its location is very good, the staff are friendly, breakfast is good and the room is clean.
Small rooms with very small windows, but good location
Very friendly staff
Nice place to stay with good location. Most attractions are within walking distance. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is good, location is little bit far if you want to walk to Sofia or blue mosque, every floor can access wireless internet. but bath room too small.
Very nice hotel with an awesome location. The restaurant on the 5th floor is amazing. Staff very nice and helpful!
I found the Erboy an excellent place to stay for a reasonable price. Not as luxurious as more expensive digs, but very friendly, helpful staff with an array of services (ironing, free safe box use, internet access on lobby computers, etc). As a woman traveling alone, it was important to me to be someplace safe and friendly, and the Erboy fit the requirement. My room was good -- basic, but clean, with daily visits from maid service to bring new towels. Complimentary breakfast was nice and was served until 10.30 which allowed me to be leisurely. Hotel on quieter street than many others nearby, which was great. Extremely close to major sights in that part of the city. Small rooftop terrace restaurant truly enjoyable. Room service food also good. Hair drier extremely simple so if you need one daily bring your own (and don't expect free shampoos and the like). If I return to this part of Istanbul, I'd be happy to stay here again.
The Erboy is a very good choice for a lower price hotel in Istanbul. The hotel is in good repair, very clean and quiet. The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly . They are helpful giving directions to places of interest . They also take care of any problem immediately. The location is excellent. The Blue Mosque, Topkapi, Hagia Sophia and the Archaeological Museum are within 5 minutes walk. The rooms are small but adequate.Breakfast buffet is included. It is typical Turkish hotel fare . Plenty of cheese, tomatoes, rolls, hard boiled eggs .All in all the Erboy is a perfect place to stay on a budget.
At our arrival at he hotel we where greeted with a welcome drink and one of the hotel staff sat with us with a map to show the most important places to visit and how to get around in Istanbul. The rooms are clean, good breakfast good location and friendly staff, especially at the restaurant Engin Sal was very friendly. Will definitely recommend this hotel.
It is located right in the old part of the city. All the historic monuments are within walking distance. The staff were very polite and helpful.
Excellent location and services for the price given; would definitely go there again if I visit Istanbul again.
