I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked here through Hotel Club because it had received some average reviews, however I was pleasantly surprised. Room was very well appointed and the size of the bathroom, television and beds were beyond expectation. I ended up booking for the following week as well. This place offers good value. However, did not try the bar, restaurant or wifi facilities.
Nice staff. Place a bit old looking for price though

Quiet location. Good service but poor parking facilities. A little far from shops and entertainment with virtually nothing in the immediate vicinity that you could walk to. None the less good value for money.
Nice Hotel if one is looking for a decent place to stay at a reasonable price. Overall clean (apart from the carpet, which was below acceptable standards), quiet and pleasant. You need a car in order to move to the city centre and the main atractions, but if car is available the location is convenient. The "single" room has a queen-size bed and 2 bunkers. I'd stay in this hotel again, if I visit Canberra in the future.
Hotel was satifactory overall. A number of the room furniture items had dust on surfaces not readily reached, The control knob on the fridge was missing, it was on maximum cold, freezer was iced up which was annoying as we wanted it for a medication item. Light switch in bathroom was badly situated. Towards end of our stay we had a medical emergency. Staff were very helpful & arranged for us to stay extra night which was not needed but they allowed us a very late check out at no charge. Room no. was 423
Hotel staff were friendly and couteous, rooms were kept supplied with coffee/tea etc and clean linen. Parking was easy and very accessible e
Facilities were aging but everthing was clean and functional for what I needed. Price was good.
Used to be good value when the buffet breakfast was included. Expensive now for an average hotel.
The location of this hotel is poor if you are a tourist in Canberra. You certainly need a car for transport. However the rooms are large and clean and the location is very quiet. It is a good place to stay with a car.
I stayed in this hotel two years ago on the way back from the snow and thought it was great so I had no hesitations staying there again. I travelled with my mother after our snow trip and stayed for two nights (Fri and Sat). I didn't sleep very well because it was so incredibly noisy. Whether this is due to the people that stayed there, the loud slamming doors or the thin walls I'm not sure, but it was so noisy! The hotel lobby is beautiful, location is good but you have to drive everywhere (as you do for most places in Canberra) and the breakfast was great. The only other issues was that our shower screen was broken, but they said they would fix that once I reported it on departure. The fridge was also not working properly and very loud in the middle of the night. I probably wouldn't stay there again, though the rooms with queen + bunks are great value.
Room was clean but corridors and common areas were dirty. Hotel is old and in need of a facelift. The buffet dinner has been change and is no longer very good value at $35. Location is good and the staff are friendly and helpful.
We found our stay at the Heritage Hotel a good one. All staff were very friendly, the room very clean and the breakfast excellent. My son particularly enjoyed the 'pancake machine' at breakfast time!!!
Ok Motel type establishment. The room could do with an update, but good value for the money.
We stayed the first two nights in a Standard room which was very ordinary. After having a chat with the receptionist at the hotel, we were moved to a superior room (at a cost), which was larger, better appointed and much more acceptable. My elderly mother was in the nearby Woden Vally Hospital, so the location of the hotel was most convenient. We found the staff most helpful and friendly and our stay, all in all, was pleasant.
Buffet breakfast was very nice. all staffs tried to provide a good service, and It is a quite good price. However, you can be paid extra. But, It will be all right.
Had problems with lack of hot water when a coach load of "overseas visitors" arrived.
Comfortable & quiet location
The hotel was a distance from the city by public transport. Meals could have been better. Takeaways were OK.
Freshly renovated rooms, with new looking tastfull bathrooms. The size of rooms/bathroom little on the smallish size but was OK.
Nice hotel, good location. Would use again.
