very happy wth stay staff are very frendly and helpful thanks be back again soon
Good location great staff would stay again.
Great location in central Christchurch. Everything that you would expect from the Ibis chain: clean and modern rooms with helpful staff.
Although the room was small. all facilities and services were at a high standard.
In Cathedral Square, very handy to all inner city attractions. Very comfortable and modern. Food was of a high standard.
we arrived one week after the earthquake and the lifts weren't operational. Whilst this wasn't the hotel's fault, they didn't appear to have any additional staff to cope with this situation, in particular helping guests with carrying bags up stairs etc. We also noticed that fit and able guests were placed on lower floors than us and we were with 2 people who were 75+
very good hotel clean and tidy, very large room helpful staff would stay again 10/10
Room was clean and a good size with 2 double beds so was ideal for 2 sisters travelling together as we were. Bathroom fairly small but adequate. Breakfast was the usual buffet type. Waffle maker was a nice extra. Great location for shopping and seeing sights around the central city and easy walk to bus station.
Great location,1 min to Cathedral Square. Lovely check- in staff very helpful. The rooms with 2 double beds are small very compact with 2 adults & 2 kids. Across the road is a nightclub so you do hear the music, so stay in the room not facing the road for a quite sleep. Over all great price and would stay again.
Airconditioning wasnt working properly too hot for sleeping
The window in my room on the 7th floor faced a blank wall of the next door building, but I can live with that. The 3 things that I look for in a hotel are shower, bed and quiet and the Hotel Ibis met my requirements on all 3. Good value for money too, and is very convenient to the City centre, in fact just metres from Cathedral Square. Hopefully the roadworks at the front of Hotel will be completed when I come back to Christchurch. Yes, I would stay at the Ibis again
Well appointed room.Good price. Breakfast average.Only gripe was failure to book shuttle to airport as requested. After sitting waiting for quite a while (and turning down offer of a ride to airport as I knew I had a booked shuttle) I learned the receptionist had forgotten to place the booking. So I had to pay for an urgent taxi to get there.Very annoying and an unnecessary expense
Excellent location, great value for money. They really need to upgrade their pillows, they were terrible.
Great place to stay on a budget.
This was a pleasant stay although the aircon rattled a bit.
This is my second stay here in 8 mths whilst visiting Christchurch. Would recommend & would stay again.
The rooms are very clean and really comfortable, the beds are excellent and fell asleep quickly and slept well. The service from the staff from FOH to cleaning staff was excellent. We returned to the IBIS from a previous stay and we will visit [Christchurch] again and will choose the ibis again. The location is also a great point about the ibis also.Kind regards
The service was great and the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help! throughly enjoyed the stay and would highly reccomend this hotel
Bit noisey but for the price and location worth it will stay there again thanks Rip Kingi
Clean, tidy, looked new and had all the right things you need for a good nights stay. Only down side was that the room seemed really low and tiny, kind of like a hobit's home. i say this in jest but was a little clostriphibic
